Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have been married for four years and have three children - 5-year-old North, 2-year-old Saint and 9-month-old Chicago. Snarky bloggers scoffed at their relationship, thinking they'd break up in a few months. However, their marriage has withstood the test of time. They even survived that Drake song In My Feelings, where Drake sings about hooking up with a mysterious 'Kiki,' who some people think refers to Kim. Scandalous!

Both Kanye and Kim have transformed over the years. Kanye used to be known as just a producer; now he's one of the biggest rap stars in the world, and a fashion mogul on the verge of becoming a billionaire. In 2007, Kim was known as a socialite who shot to fame from a leaked sex tape with Ray Jay. However, she went on to retain her stardom for over a decade. Her reality show is still going strong, and she's an entrepreneur with a successful line of cosmetics.

During an interview with Van Jones on Be Woke Vote, Kim reflected on her relationship with Kanye:

"We’ve been through a lot together. You know, I’ve known him for 15 years now. Became friends with him maybe in like 2006, 2007. Met him in like [2002 or 2003]. I’ve known him forever. He’s put himself up against the world for me when everyone told him, 'You cannot date a girl with a sex tape. You cannot date a reality show girl. This is going to ruin your career.' Everyone told him that.'

"To me, he was like, 'Oh, you’re not going to tell me what to do. I’ll let you know that it’s going to be okay.' And he always was that strength for me. So I’ll always love and appreciate him for always standing up for me... Even in like fashion. 'You’ll never be on the cover of a magazine.' And you know, amazing things have happened in that world or anyone that’s ever doubted us or me, he’s always been there to hold my hand and lift me up higher and give me the confidence. And so I’ll always do the same for him."

The reality star has also become active in politics. Earlier this year, Kim visited the White House, and asked President Trump to pardon Alice Johnson, a great-grandmother serving life for a first-time, non-violent drug offense. Following Kim's appeal, Trump commuted Alice's sentence, and she was released.

Of course, right now the couple is at different ends of the political spectrum. Kim voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, and this year Kanye came out as an avid Donald Trump supporter, claiming the MAGA hat made him feel like a superhero. When asked about Kanye's comments on abolishing the 13th amendment, which abolished slavery, Kim admitted that he communicates best in his music - not on Twitter.

"It takes him about four years to write a song to explain — to communicate what he wants to say. So when he tweets something in two seconds, what’s going on in his mind and what he thinks and what he’s trying to say, he might not be the best communicator, but he has the best heart and I know what he means. I believe in him and I believe that his message of what the [MAGA] hat represent to him is maybe different than what it represents to other people. He’s very mindful about that. He doesn’t maybe express that. But what it mans to him is something totally different and I trust in him that he will explain that in his own way."
