Last night Hollywood's greatest actors and Fiji's greatest water girls attended the Golden Globe Awards, a celebration of film and TV. The show was hosted by Brooklyn Nine Nine's Andy Samberg and Killing Eve's Sandra Oh, the only two celebrities who haven't been cancelled on Twitter...yet. (Keep digging! We have to find something!) In the monologue, they 'roasted' actors with compliments and highlighted the diversity of the nominees, which set the tone for the evening.

In a shocking turn of events, this year the Hollywood Foreign Press nominated a couple movies and TV shows people have actually seen: Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Rich Asians, and A Star Is Born. In Bradley Cooper's countrified remake of the 1937 classic, Lady Gaga plays an insecure, struggling artist who seeks guidance from a grizzled alcoholic vet. The Pokerface singer surprised audiences with her vulnerable, makeup-free appearance and considerable acting chops.

Lady Gaga's Shallow won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, which was A Star Is Born's only win of the night. (The film was also nominated for Best Motion Picture; Lady Gaga was nominated for Best Actress and Bradley Cooper was nominated for Best Actor and Best Director.) But hey, one Golden Globe Award is better than none, and there's still a chance the cast and crew could take home some Oscars.

In an emotional Instagram post, Gaga thanked all the people who believed in her - turns out it was more than one in a hundred! "I am so grateful to Bradley for this opportunity," she wrote, "and for singing this beautiful song with me. Me, @iammarkronson, @antmundo and @wyattish are floored by this win. Just a couple of kids that love making music, and we got to do it for this breathtaking film. We love our fans so much! Thank you for believing in us. And thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association!"

After the show, celebrities typically attend the afterparties, and the after-afterparties, and the after-after-afterparties - in fact, some stars are probably still partying right now. However, Gaga and fiancé Christian Carino decided to forgo the late-night soirees. Just after midnight, he shared an adorable photo of his wife-to-be: The Bad Romance singer lies in bed, hugging her trophy and eating Fruity Pebbles. In the caption, Carino joked, "what a rager"

In the comments, fans sent their congratulations, although they were heartbroken she didn't win more. Also, many people could relate to the photo - not to winning a Golden Globe Award, of course, but to spending a quiet night in, huddled under the covers, eating cereal as a late night snack.

The Oscar nominations will be announced on January 22, and there's a good chance Gaga get some attention, for Best Song or Best Actress. If she ends up winning an Academy Award, hopefully she will celebrate by taking another late-night photo - but instead of eating Fruity Pebbles, Cookie Crisps. (You have to go all out for winning an Oscar.)
