When it comes to celebrity couples, there are few more likeable than Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. The A-listers, who have both enjoyed illustrious and profitable careers, are known for their trolling of each other online and are often seen as the definition of "couple goals."

However, for all the giggles that the couple provide to their fans online, they have also shown their serious side and often speak about their love for one another. Most recently, Reynolds admitted that Lively helped him get back in touch with his father, someone who he had lost contact with. "My dad was a tough guy," Ryan asserted.

"He was good in many ways as well, but he was tough on us. This is not meant to be some sob story—everyone carries their own bag of rocks around and I am no different in that regard—but growing up in my house, it was never relaxing or easy and I know that, throughout my life, I’ve dealt with anxiety in different ways."

The actor admitted that his wife "has a gift for foresight", and that she encouraged him and his father to reconnect before he passed away in 2015. This meant that Ryan's father got to meet his granddaughter - who they, adorably, named James, after him.

"It felt right," Ryan continued. "All family relationships come with some complications. For better or worse, all roads lead to here. At the end of the day, it’s easier to focus on the good stuff than the bad. My father died soon after my daughter was born, but he got to see her, which makes me happy."

It's not the first time Reynolds has opened up about his love for his wife and family. Talking about the impact that Lively has made on his life, the actor gushed: “My family is everything to me," Ryan said. “[Blake has] immeasurably made my life better. She’s my best friend. I absolutely love and respect her. She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

However, fans could be forgiven for thinking that the couple are on the rocks. A couple of days ago, Lively took to her Instagram and posted a photo with A Simple Favor co-star and Pitch Perfect actor, Anna Kendrick, captioning the image: "@annakendrick47 is the hotter, female(r) version of my husband… so, would it reaaaally count as cheating??"

Anna seemed to enjoy being dropped into the love-triangle, saying: "So glad we’re finally taking this public.

"I let Ryan have Deadpool, he can give me this."

Unsurprisingly, the Deadpool actor responded. However, what was surprising was the fact that he was resigned to letting the new-found relationship blossom: "The most ambitious crossover event in history. I’ll miss you both. Tell my story."

It's not the first time Kendrick has tinted that Lively may be a bit more into her than her famous husband. Back in May, Anna and Blake were playing a game where the latter had to guess whether a tweet had been written by Anna or Reynolds. While she managed to nail  a few of the answers, Lively also mistook a few of Anna’s more vulgar tweets for Ryan’s, highlighting the similarities between Blake’s husband and her co-star.
