Nothing says "I love you" like a grand romantic gesture. Sure, you could just tell your parter you love them, I guess. But words are too flimsy to capture such a powerful emotion. And the more you use certain phrases, the more meaningless they become.

Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian has set the bar pretty high for #HusbandGoals. Last year he married four-time Olympic gold medallist Serena Williams in a fairy-tale wedding in New Orleans. They welcomed their first child, Alexis Jr., in September. Serena took a break from winning every tennis title ever  to care for her daughter. When she announced her highly anticipated return to the sport,Alexis did something special to celebrate: He rented out four billboards in Palm Desert, California.

The four billboards combine to spell the message "greatest mother of all time," with adorable photos of Serena and her baby girl. Alexis was probably inspired by the Oscar-Winning dark comedy-drama, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. In that film, a mother rents three billboards call attention to her daughter's unsolved murder. Not the most romantic movie, but hey, inspiration can come from anywhere!

This year Serena felt short of winning an eighth Wimbledon title, but she can take solace in the fact that she's winning at life. That's right, her husband, Alexis made another romantic gesture that will make you swoon, then seethe with jealousy. In an Instagram post, Alexis revealed that Serena was craving Italian food, so he decided to give her a treat. No, he didn't take her to Olive Garden. He flew her to Italy.

Alexis shared a photo of the two dining, with the caption, "She wanted Italian for dinner, so..." The location was identified as Venezia, Italia. On Serena's Instagram account, she confirmed the trip by sharing footage of the gorgeous villa where the couple stayed. Yes, it has a retractable roof. And yes, you should send this article to your partner with the message, "WHY DON'T YOU TREAT ME LIKE THIS?!"

You can see why Alexis puts in so much effort. Serena's pretty awesome. She holds the record for Grand Slam titles in singles, doubles and mixed doubles - and that includes winning the 2017 Australian Open while pregnant. What's more, she's been an inspiring figure, opening up about her struggles with body confidence.

During her ascension to fame and fortune, Serena was viciously criticized for her appearance. Spurious websites insisted she was assigned male at birth. "It was hard for me," Serena told Bazaar. "People would say I was born a guy, all because of my arms, or because I’m strong." Well, now the tennis icon has the last laugh - do the people running those websites have partners that fly them to Italy for dinner?

Husbands everywhere should take a cue from Alexis. Of course, his romantic gestures are pretty expensive. But if you're on a budget, and your partner's craving Italian, you could just take them to Olive Garden. That says "I love you" too.
