Two of the most anticipated moments in pop culture history are coming our way in April.

First up: we've got the final season of Game of Thrones hitting our screens to bring the immensely popular HBO fantasy series to a close. Then, at the end of the month, Avengers: Endgame will be released, as a conclusion to the multi-film story that has been building since 2008's Iron Man, stretching back over a decade.

There has been a lot of hype surrounding this Marvel movie, partly because even die-hard fans know very little about what will happen in it. We didn't even know the title of the movie until the first trailer dropped - and that teaser for Avengers: Endgame only showed us a few out of context teases at what's to come.

Following that, there was another trailer, but this one used a lot of shots from previous movies, only giving fans a tiny morsel to work with. So even the people out there that love spoiling movies for themselves for some reason are finding it hard to follow what's going to happen.

This week, hype has reached new levels again, after new character posters were released, reminding us of all the heroes that bit the dust in Avengers: Infinity War, and those that are left to pick up the pieces.

For those still clamouring for more, actor Chris Evans (who plays Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) recently discussed the upcoming movie in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor spoke about how he was surprised they managed to put a trailer for Avengers: Endgame together at all, because "so much of it is a visual spoiler".

"It's a good one. It's a real good one," Evans said, revealing that he's seen the first hour of the (reportedly three-hour) movie. "This one's really good. I choked up like three times."

After finding out about his reaction, fans of the series went into meltdown, wondering how exactly we're going to handle all that heartbreak.

There have also been rumours that Evans' character will be killed off in the movie - partly because it would be a fitting end, and because of a few hints hitting the web that the actor is done with the role.

The interviewer asked Evans if he just watched the movie up to the point that Cap dies, trying to catch him out, but Chris jokingly replied:

"Right, exactly. After I die by Tony's hand, I just said, 'You know what? I can't watch this.'

"It's hard. Seeing my own death. It's going to be a long movie, that's for sure. The first edit clocked in over three hours. My funeral's like an hour."

This clearly sounds like a joke, but you can never be too careful. Mark Ruffalo's slip-up a year before Avengers: Infinity War came out looked like a joke with perfect comedic timing at first viewing, but in retrospect, Ruffalo had let slip a huge spoiler.

After Evans joked about the fan-favourite character being killed off, his fans started to freak out, as you'd expect.

The problem is, as a double-bluff, this would be perfect. Or he could just be plain laughing in our faces, knowing full well that two hours of this cinematic behemoth is dedicated to Steve Rogers' funeral service. Ah, well. We'll have to see it to find out.
