Gypsy Rose Blanchard's divorce from her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, has taken another turn for the worse as both parties have now filed restraining orders against one another.

After Blanchard was released on parole on December 28, 2023, she and Anderson recalled their meeting in an interview with PEOPLE.

Anderson disclosed that their initial contact stemmed from a bet he made with a coworker who had been sending letters to prison for Joe Exotic from the Netflix series Tiger King.

"Tiger King was really popular at the time," Anderson said. "I said, 'I'll tell you what. If you write him, I'll write Gypsy Rose Blanchard.' I never thought she'd be my wife."

The couple got married in 2022 and had been living together since Blanchard's release from prison in December, but it seems things have quickly deteriorated.

Court records obtained by PEOPLE reveal that Anderson, 37, lodged the restraining order against Blanchard, 32, on Thursday, April 11th.

Blanchard had filed her own restraining order on Monday, April 8th, coinciding with her filing for divorce from Anderson.

In her divorce filing, Blanchard is seeking both interim and final spousal support, claiming that Anderson was the instigator in the breakdown of their marriage. She is adamant that he not receive any support in return.

Blanchard's decision to go public with her separation from Anderson on March 28 via Facebook was followed by sightings of her with her former fiancé Ken Urker, sparking speculation about a possible reconciliation.

However, Urker clarified in a TikTok Live session on April 3: "We have not had any intimacy. We're just hanging out as friends. That's all it is."

Echoing Urker's sentiments, Raina William, his mother, emphasized to People: "They are not back together."

Amidst the drama, Anderson expressed his shock and distress over the separation, telling the Daily Mail: "I'm not doing well with it. For me, it just came out of the blue."

His surprise was elevated when Blanchard was spotted with Urker in Louisiana, leading him to confess: "I had no idea she still had such strong feelings for him."

In a separate development, Blanchard announced plans for cosmetic surgery as part of her personal transformation journey.

She shared: "I'm going through a personal transformation journey currently and that includes a physical one, too. Wish me luck with my surgery and watch the whole thing this summer on Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up."
