The Lonely Island, comprised of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone, produced some of the funniest content on Saturday Night Live in the 2000's. Although the Laser Cat series was undeniably epic, the music videos were always standouts: Lazy Sunday, D*** In A Box, I'm On A Boat, I Just Had Sex, Jack Sparrow.

Nonstop bangers! Or, as Andy said during a 2012 Emmys performance, "Wack excellence!"

Watch The Lonely Island perform a medley of songs at the 2012 Emmys:

The comedy troupe released four albums, Incredibad (2009), Turtleneck & Chain (2011), The Wack Album (2013), and the soundtrack to their extremely underrated movie Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. And this summer, fans will finally get the chance to see them perform classics like Jizz In My Pants live.

That's right, The Lonely Island is going on tour for the first time, playing at the Bonnaroo Music Festival, followed by Washington D.C. Philadelphia, New York, Brooklyn, Boston, Detroit and Minneapolis.

However, if you're unable to score tickets for those shows in June, don't grab your computer and Throw It On The Ground just yet. On Twitter, the guys announced that they're dropping a Netflix project at midnight tonight. The cryptic six-second video promises "a visual poem" - so a music video? Whatever it is, I'm sure it will make Walt Whitman, T.S. Elliot, and Emily Dickinson's works look like total garbage.

If you're impatient for new Lonely Island material, here's a deep cut you might not have heard: The trio recorded an original song for the 2018 Oscars, but unfortunately the video was cut for being "too expensive to produce." A shame, because the storyboard video they posted was hilarious.
