Whether you have made the decision to send or receive nudes yourself, you must admit that they are pretty valuable. While they may be integral to plenty of relationships, from the casual fling to the long-distance couple, there are some anxieties that come with them.

The idea of the photos being shared with those you haven't given permission can cause some anxiety, and plenty of frustration with the unsolicited d*ck pics of douchebag men across the globe. So you'd imagine most people play it pretty safe with the explicit pictures they send, right? Well, the internet has discovered the strangest use of them perhaps ever, after these college roommates used nudes to buy a dog.

The idea of nude photos being used as a commodity might make you wince, but this story has enough twists and turns that your opinion on their actions may change by the end. Twitter user Court (@courtaney03) has caused a storm online after she shared her and her roommates' scheme to get themselves an adorable husky puppy.

It all started in a conversation where Court's roommate Alyson was made an unusual offer. A guy asked her "to pay him in nudes for a baby husky". That's a pretty creepy thing for a random stranger to ask for, right? But when it comes down to getting a dog this cute, the rest of them were more than happy to offer their own if it got them a chance to have the dog in their lives.

In a new development, roommate Maria remembered something important: a girl had already sent her nudes that she could use instead of their own.

As you can imagine, once this tweet was posted, the internet went wild. After all, who would have thought that some naked shots could be used to purchase a dog?

This original tweet, which was posted earlier this week, has already received 28,000 retweets and over 100,000 likes so far.

If you're anything like me, your first thought was likely to question why these girls thought it was okay to send someone else's nudes.

After all, I doubt she ever would have expected they would end up being used for something like this. Fortunately, they later released another screenshot of a conversation to prove that they got permission from the woman, to which she replied: "Can you at least send the good ones".

And before long, the flat picked up their very own husky!

And they named him Balto!

There was a brief controversy when someone paid particular attention to a display picture...

Thankfully, it was all cleared up.

There were a wide range of responses, as you can imagine, but plenty of people came forward to pat them on the back for the transaction.

Whether you agree or not, one thing is for sure: the previous dog owner was likely very surprised when he found out they were actually going to do it.
