It has been revealed that Rihanna's cousin has been killed, not long after the singer had seen him for

Alleyne, 21, was walking through the St Michael's area of Barbados at 7 pm
on Tuesday night when it happened. He was approached by a man who shot him several times before fleeing.
Rihanna posted a series of photos of him on Instagram, followed by the hashtag "#endgunviolence". She wrote:
"RIP cousin... can't believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms!"
"Never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man!"
Earlier in December, Barbados Police stated that there had been a significant increase in
that year. Over 2017, 28 murders were committed, with 22 of them being gun-related.

According to Nation News, Alleyne was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by a private vehicle, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
A woman named Tanella accompanied him in hospital, as she posted photos of herself with him at the hospital onto Instagram, with an emoji of an angel over his face. "I never thought the day would come that I would have to bury you my love," she wrote. "This was our first Christmas together we clean we decorate and everything!! Tavon I know you was trying to be a better person!! I loveee you soooo muchhhhhhhhh brother omg!"

Alleyne's Instagram had some images of Rihanna, including a birthday message he had written to her, which read:
"Every day we are happy to have you in our lives. Happy
Birthday
cousin, we really love you. Your presence in my life is a source of joy and happiness. To my

cousin, may all your dreams and wishes come true. #LoveYouLoads #wishyoumanymoretocome"
Rhianna later added a memorial to her Instagram Story, with a black background along with his username, @merka_95. "Rest up lil cuz," she wrote, including emojis of praying hands, a crying face, and a broken heart.
Police are searching for the shooter and have asked anyone with information to contact the District A Police Station. Hopefully, the gunman is caught and Tavon's family are given some justice for what happened.
