Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been accused of bombarding model Rhian Sugden with messages hoping to meet up privately. This hasn't gone down particularly well, given that not only does she have a fiancé, but Ronaldo has only recently had a child with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez. As well as baby Alana, born in November, Cristiano is also dad to seven-year-old Cristiano Jnr and young twins Eva and Mateo.

The pair apparently bumped into one another in various clubs, but in recent times he has been bombarding her with
texts, according to an anonymous source who spoke to The Sun. The source claimed that "Ronaldo bombards Rhian with messages periodically", to which the model did her best to turn down politely. They have remained friendly, but the footballer apparently didn't take the hint and continued to message her.

"I will call in one hour if you send a number be private number," he reportedly sent her at one point, adding: "I m at my hotel". After he messaged her once she replied "I can't talk tonight I'm sorry. I'm just about to pick my fella up from work and then are going for drinks. I don't think he'd approve of me talking to you at 11pm".
He eventually backed off after he received a warning from her boyfriend Oliver Mellor, who she has been with since November 2014. Oliver acted in the British soap Coronation Street for three years, also starring in a production of Beauty and the Beast.

The source explained:
“In the end, Oliver found out and sent Ronaldo a polite message asking him to back off. Since then Ronaldo has deleted the conversations.
“Rhian’s not heard a peep since. She’s pleased. She has no interest in him.”
This isn't the first
sext scandal that Sugden has been a part of. Back in 2010 it emerged that television presenter, radio DJ and former model Vernon Kay had been sending her sexually explicit messages despite being married to Tess Daly, and attempted to meet up again in 2016.
Kay eventually publicly apologised to his wife of 14 years after sending Rhian hundreds of WhatsApp messages hoping to "reconnect", but Sugden believed she received the brunt of the backlash:
"He got drunk and sent inappropriate text messages to me. And I'm the one people would pour drinks on. I'm the one people would spit on. My career didn't go anywhere but his went up. I even lost contracts. I was just known as a sex-texter"

[Vernon] must see it because his name is always linked to it, and I just think, poor Tess Daly getting all this attention again for no reason.
If we had a full blown affair I'd understand, but text messages from 2010 is a bit much now. It's old news. If I could erase the internet I would. I feel like that's all I'm known for.”
Whether this recent scandal has any truth to it or not, things are likely a little tense in the Ronaldo household at the moment.
