The public didn't even know about Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt's relationship until months after they started dating, so it seemed like we went from finding out that the pair had got together to discovering that they were on their way to getting married, after they both took to social media to announce their recent engagement.

Earlier in January, the couple took to Instagram to celebrate their new engagement. "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!" Pratt wrote. "Proud to live bodly in faith with you. Here we go!" Schwarzenegger, author and daughter of the one and only Arnold Schwarzenegger, added in her post: "My sweet love. Wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you ♥️?"

Pratt's ex-wife, Anna Faris, with whom he shares a young son, was quick to congratulated the newly-engaged couple. The actress commented to say: "I'm so happy for you both! Congratulations!" Faris later went into more detail about how she found out about the engagement, and how she felt about their break-up, on her podcast.

It now looks like the six-year-old Jack won't be the only child that the actor has in his life, after he recently opened up about his future with Katherine. The 39-year-old is currently promoting the upcoming The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, where he explained to Entertainment Tonight how much his son loved the latest release:

"Jack is into this. Jack loves this movie, he loves Lego and he got to see the screening. He saw the final cut of the screening and man, he lost his mind. He was with all his friends and he had a huge dance party afterwards. We got home and he was like, 'Dad, can we see Lego Movie 2 right now?'"

This was also his first interview since popping the big question, so ET were quick to ask him how he felt about being engaged once again. "I'm a lucky man," he said, before surprising his fans with a pretty candid answer to the question of what his future may hold. According to Pratt, he sees "lots of kids" ahead of them both.

"The future? Oh. Lots of kids. Maybe less time spent working, more time spent enjoying life.

"I always want to be that guy that works to live, not lives to work. I think [I want to spend] just a lot of time at the farm and a lot of time catching a lot of fish and seeing lots of sunsets."

To be fair, given his career trajectory, it looks like Pratt will have all the time in the world to kick back and relax. With his lead roles in the Jurassic World, Lego Movie, and Guardians of the Galaxy franchises, he must have a significant nest egg stowed away to let him spend all his time fishing and watching the sun going down.
