In case you hadn't heard the happy news, Carrie Underwood is pregnant again!

In a recent video message on Instagram - which was meant to be about her upcoming Cry Pretty Tour - the 35-year-old singer stunned her fans by revealing that she had a bun in the oven.

"You might be asking, 'Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?'" she said. "Well... [cut to the camera panning out to reveal a set of baby balloons behind her head] Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond. This has just been a dream come true with album, and baby news and all that stuff. We're just so excited and happy that you guys can share in this with us. Love you guys! We will see you on the road in 2019!"

Pretty great news, right? We've got a lot of time for Carrie and we're excited for her to welcome her second child with husband Mike Fisher, after having their now three-year-old son Isaiah Michael Fisher back in 2015.

Now, less than a week after the big reveal, the Before He Cheats songstress has given her fans a special treat, uploading the first picture of her baby bump to Instagram. The image, although rather dark, seemingly shows Carrie standing backstage at a concert, sporting flowing blonde hair, a stunning dress and a growing pregnancy bump.

The photo thrilled followers, who immediately took to the comment section to express their congratulations. "Yay so adorable and just all around great woman and mommy???✌???" wrote Instagrammer @hippie_luvz. She was joined by fellow Instagram user @sqishboo1who put "We are so happy for y’all. Children are such a beautiful, priceless gift ???" and @darrelljordan5830 who commented saying "One beautiful momma".

The good news follows an interview with Carrie in which she admitted that she often wondered if it was too late for her to have more children. "I'm 35, so we may have missed our chance to have a big family," she toldRedbook. "We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older."

The pregnancy also comes after the country star had a rocky start to the year, having spent it recovering from a traumatic injury. At the end of last year, the American Idol winner posted on Twitter to let her fans know that she had sustained some nasty injuries after a fall outside her home.

Warning people that she was "not quite looking the same" after getting 50 stitches in her face, as well as breaking her wrist, Carrie kept herself to herself for a few months in early 2018, but eventually returned to the spotlight, posting pictures on Instagram and wowing audiences at the ACM Awards in April.

I think we can all agree that it's great to finally have her back - and even more fantastic that she's expecting her second child! Congratulations, Carrie and Mike!
