Are Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin married already? That is the question on everyone's minds, as the couple were spotted at the Marriage Bureau at a courthouse in New York City last Thursday.

The Tommy Hilfiger model herself denied rumours of a courthouse wedding on Twitter the day after the story had hit the news, writing: "I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I'm not married yet!"

However,  it seems like she could have been telling a white lie, as Alec Baldwin seemingly confirmed - at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles - that his niece was now officially the wife of the Canadian pop superstar.

With wife Hilaria by his side, the 60-year-old star was questioned by Access Hollywood about what advice he has for his 21-year-old niece to make sure her marriage was successful. "Keep working," he joked. "Don't stop working."

Later on, he was asked just how crazy a Baldwin wedding can get and this is the point where he seemingly spilled the beans, stating: "Well, they went off and got married. And I don't know what the deal is because we text Hailey every now and then, we met him one time."

He continued to give some real marriage advice, stating: "But, as I say, when you get married, I think it works best if you could really be together, like you hook your schedules up and you can really be with each other. We make all of our decisions around staying home and there are jobs that I could do, there are jobs that she could do that we don't do, because it means going away for like five weeks or something. I don't do that anymore. I stay home and just let her run circles around me."

So, does this mean that Hailey and Justin are definitely hitched? If anyone would know, it's her family, right?

Alec is not the only one who seems to believe that the couple have tied the knot, with an 'insider' telling People last week: "They went ahead and did it without listening to anyone."

In addition, it is rumoured that the pair are planning some future festivities to celebrate the union properly, with the same source allegedly saying: "They’re going to have a big blowout, in front of God and everyone they love."

It is said that the couple, who started dating in June, will have a big ceremony in Canada next week. TMZ has reported that they will throw their wedding bash in the $5m mansion in Ontario the Love Yourself singer purchased this summer.

Another source added that the A-lister pair had pushed their wedding to 2019 but they later had a "change of heart" and want to marry in mid-September, with Justin allegedly being overheard saying in the courthouse, through tears, "I can't wait to marry you, baby."

Despite Hailey's denial that they are already wed, People claims that, in spite of the alleged courthouse ceremony, the model doesn't consider herself officially married yet. A source claimed that Hailey "feels a civil ceremony and their 'real' wedding are two separate things."

So, are they or aren't they? No one can say for sure, but one thing is for sure: if they are, Alec will be getting a mouthful from his niece for letting the cat out of the bag!
