After challenging Hollywood legend Tom Cruise to a fight on Twitter, Justin Bieber has done a total 180.

The singer challenged the actor on the microblogging website just three days ago, going as far as to tag the President of UFC, Dana White, in the tweet.

"I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon," wrote the 25-year-old Canadian singer.

"Tom if you don't take this fight your [sic] scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite?"

Then, perhaps unsurprisingly, one of the UFC's biggest stars, Conor McGregor got in on the action, encouraging Cruise, 56, to take the 'Baby' singer up on his offer:

But despite so much interest surrounding the would-be fight, Cruise never responded to the invitation.

Now, even if he was to take Bieber up on the challenge, the 25-year-old has withdrawn his offer, according to TMZ. He took it back when leaving wife Hailey Baldwin's fashion office in LA.

"Man... I was just playing. I'm pretty sure Tom would probably whoop my ass in a fight," he said.

"I'd have to get super in shape, I'm really skinny right now.

"I think he'd probably be out of my weight class. He's got that dad strength."

By now, you're probably wondering why Bieber challenged Cruise to a fight, and in addition to chickening out, he explained his reasoning.

"It was just a random tweet. I do that stuff sometimes," he said.
