Lindsay Lohan's public persona hasn't exactly been the most stable over the last few years. While she made her name with movie classics such as The Parent Trap and Mean Girls, she's made far more headlines for her disruptive, and often bizarre, behaviour.

She's been arrested on numerous occasions, starting back in 2007 when she was taken in for a DUI - after she crashed her Mercedes with cocaine in her possession. In 2013, she reached a plea deal where she was sentenced to serve 90 days in a rehab facility, as well as community service - however, these stints in rehab don't always turn out as well as family and loved ones hope, especially when there is fame and fortune involved.

In June, however, Lohan was adamant when telling the New York Times that her days as a party girl were "dead". Yet, there are many signs that this may not be the case. E! News recently spoke to an anonymous insider in Lohan's circle, who claimed that Lohan had been clubbing a lot since her club in Mykonos opened - perhaps evidenced by a recent video captured of her in the club, which ended up becoming a popular meme and dance challenge.

However, she also made headlines at the end of September for a much more disturbing video. Appearing on Instagram live while staying in Moscow, she followed a family through the streets, insisting that they let their children stay with her so they have somewhere to sleep - with no signs that she knew exactly what their situation was.

"Tell me your story so that I can help you. What do you need? Do you want me to give you a hotel? So I want you to tell America what you need and I will get it for you," she said. She persisted as they walked away from her for several minutes, telling them "let me take care of you guys," before suddenly accusing the parents of "trafficking children".

"You’re ruining Arabic culture by doing this," she says. "I won’t leave until I take you. Now I know who you are. Don’t f**k with me."

Holding her hand out for one of the children to take it, she was rebuffed by the mother. The actress dropped her phone and was seen crying and holding her cheek - with the presumption being that she was hit in the face by the mother.

The insider in her group told E! News that her close ones "weren't concerned" about her, but after this video hit the internet, things changed. Now, her family are allegedly trying to get her out of the party scene for a while, insisting that she return to the United States where she can be with them.

Another source supposedly close to the celebrity has said that Lohan was "heartbroken" over the clip and the subsequent negative response. "All she wanted was to provide somewhere warm, safe and comfortable for the whole family to stay, instead of them having to be on the street," the source said.

So far, the actress hasn't released any public statement on what happened in Moscow.
