Guys, I hope you're in the mood to be made to feel inadequate this morning, because Millie Bobby Brown - the 14-year-old star of Stranger Things - has once again proven that she's already doing better in life than most of us could ever hope to.

This weekend, she joined Maroon 5 at a concert in Nashville in order to provide vocals for their song, Girls Like You. The verse is normally performed by hot-headed shoe-thrower, Cardi B, but she was busy at Milan Fashion Week (thankfully on better behaviour than she was at the New York event).

In Cardi's absence, Brown wowed the crowd with her surprising ability to spit bars - and she wasn't half bad at throwing a few shapes, either.

Though there were one or two issues with the teen's microphone at the beginning of the performance, she managed to hold it together and deliver a performance worthy of a seasoned rapper. She posted a clip of the gig on her Insta page afterwards, captioning it, "soooo 2nite was insane!!! i love @maroon5".

Maroon 5 also shared a snapshot of the Stranger Things star in action, saying that Brown was in 'Beast Mode' that evening.

Later on, Brown updated her fans on the experience.

"I’m home now, it was such an amazing night with such incredible people with such good friends and truly family," she said. "It’s such an honour to be on stage with such talented human beings. I was not nervous at all going on stage, in fact I was so comfortable. It was so insane, so fantastic and I had such an amazing time. Also Nashville, you guys are really loud, should I come back there?"

The 14-year-old also referred to Adam Levine, Maroon 5's lead singer, as a "dear friend" in her Instagram post - something that may have ruffled a few feathers given Brown's recent comments on Drake.

While speaking with Access Hollywood last week, the actress opened up about her friendship with the 31-year-old rapper. "I love him. I met him in Australia and he's honestly so fantastic, a great friend, and a great role model," she said. "We just texted each other the other day and he was like 'I miss you so much,' and I was like 'I miss you more.'"

Given their age difference, plus the fact that Drake is already dating an 18-year-old, Brown's statements were a cause for concern amongst many people on social media who feared that the young star is at risk of being groomed by older men in the film/music industry.

However, she later went on to post a defence of her relationship with the older musician, saying that those who saw anything untoward in their friendship were "weird".

"U guys are weird… for real. I’m lucky to have people in the business extend their time to help me further my career and offer their wisdom and guidance. I’m very blessed to have amazing people in my life. U don’t get to choose that for me. It’s nice to have people who understand what I do. Now get back to talking about real problems in this world other than my friendships… jeez."

It's recently become very clear, then, that - though she might still be a kid - Millie Bobby Brown has the mindset and, indeed, the skillset of someone far beyond her years. She can act, she can rap, and you can bet that she'll put anyone in their place if they try to cross her on social media.
