Millie Bobby Brown has appeared to confirm that she has gotten engaged to long-term boyfriend Jake Bongiovi.

The 19-year-old actor took to Instagram on Tuesday (April 11) to share a touching black-and-white photo of the loved-up couple.

In the snap, Bobby Brown can be seen smiling as 20-year-old Bongiovi wraps his arms around her.

The Stranger Things star captioned the heartwarming post: "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all". (Music fans may recognize that these are lyrics from Taylor Swift's 2019 track 'Lover'.)

And it certainly didn't take long for fans to spot a huge diamond ring on the Enola Holmes star's ring finger - with the post amassing more than 1.3 million likes in less than an hour, as well as thousands of comments.

"They are so happy, that it makes us happy all day long," one fan commented.

A second added: "Congratulations my dear Millie [...] you only deserve the best in this world [...] I'm so happy for both of you."

Others were also quick to defend the couple from trolls saying that they were "too young" to be getting engaged.

"Some of the comments moaning she's 'too young'. It doesn't matter which age someone find their soulmate (as long as it's legal)," one person commented. "In the UK you can get married at 16. Stop shitting on other people's happiness because you don't have that yourself."

Another agreed, writing: "A person can marry at any time. It's her choice and it's not yours.

"My brother proposed to his fiancee when he was 20 and he got married a few years ago. People say he's too young, but no matter what people say, it's best to love and care for the one you love."

Bongiovi is the son of legendary rocker Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea.

Last year, Bobby Brown revealed that the pair first started talking on Instagram, and things developed from there.

"We met on Instagram," she told WIRED back in November. "And we were friends for a bit, and then, what can I say?"

And since the 2022 BAFTAs, the pair have been spotted walking hand-in-hand on red carpets, including at the premiere of Bobby Brown's Enola Holmes 2.

Congratulations to the happy couple! A true Gen Z love story!
