An adorable police dog has gone viral on social media this week, after it was recorded falling asleep through the entirety of its swearing-in service.
The video in question was first shared on Facebook by the Bristol Police Department in Rhode Island, and shows a brown Labrador puppy named Brody nodding off while being sworn in as a member of the police precinct.
Take a look at the video of Brody's ceremony in the video below:

The video has since been viewed more than 63,000 times, and currently boasts around 1,400 likes and over 700 shares, which proves that Brody’s already doing a great job.
The super-cute 12-week-old joined the services in March, and since then has had a difficult time socializing. However, his handler, Keith Medeiros, has been using Brody to help relieve stress amongst police officers who have had a hard time coping during the coronavirus lockdown.

In a later interview with The Dodo, Medeiros stated: "We put him down on the desk and he was just so comfortable that he lay down and fell asleep ... He plays really hard and he sleeps really hard. When he’s not playing, he’s sleeping, which is kind of tough because he sleeps a lot."
Medeiros continued "You want him to be exposed to as many people as possible, and I try to do that while practising social distancing. People are really stressed, especially in law enforcement."

He added: "Just by walking in the police department with Brody, people immediately smile, they immediately get into a better place. They want to pet him, want to hug him and it’s just a really good thing."
Man, it's amazing to think that this little pooch is earning his keep without even having to stay awake. I wish I could trade places with him...
