They say that teamwork makes the dream work, and that was certainly the case for three dogs in Norway... until they were caught red-handed (or red-pawed).

The hilarious footage shows the vertically-challenged corgi, named Hugo, given a boost up by his boarder collie friends Harley and Henry, in an effort to steal a plate of leftovers left out on the kitchen counter.

Check out the three dogs get caught out in the video below (their faces say it all):

The collie at the back couldn't look more regretful of his decision to join the heist.

The footage was shot by owner Line Fatland Frøystad at his home in Norway.

The professional dog trainer (that explains the agile and intelligent pups) said: "My corgi is raised together with his border collie brothers.

"Hugo always wants to do the same as they do, run fast, jump high, and steal food from the counter. But a corgi has short legs and all of these things aren't always easy to do.

"So one day after dinner I noticed Hugo was jumping on the back of Henry and Harley to reach the food.

"The moment he got up he attacked the food. The two border collies where probably hoping he would share some, but he didn't."

However, Line - who is the CEO of @funnybubbledogs on Instagram - thought that the video actually displayed a positive message (regardless of the food theft), saying:

“Looking back, I’m thinking this video has a really good message. We all need to work together to achieve our goals and, at this time with Covid, I think this video is what we need."
