An Amazon delivery driver has taken to social media to share his encounter with a customer's dog.
Amazon driver Justin Ston Naumann - who uses the handle '@youngstony23' on TikTok - recorded the moment he started to approach a customer's home, but was greeted by a patient yet intimidating dog.
Sharing the video to TikTok with the caption "Thought [I] was a goner", Naumann can be seen exiting his truck and slowly approaching the house. His first words are: "Oh f***, bro. Do you think he's a good boy? I think he's a good boy."
The dog can be seen standing outside his family's home, slowly wagging his tail. Parcel in hand, Naumann slowly approaches the house, muttering: "Be a good boy, please be a good boy."
Check out the video below:As the driver slowly approaches the house, he shouts to the dog: "Hi dude, I just need to deliver this package to your mom and stuff, is that cool? Are we good? Are we good?"
However, at one point the dog refuses to playfully engage with Naumann - instead, the dog just sits there looking as stoic and calculating as a Mafia boss. "I don't think we're good," Naumann says.
Slowly, the TikToker approaches the dog, repeatedly asking: "He's a good boy? He's a good boy?"
When he's close enough, Naumann realizes that the dog is friendly and is happy to receive pats - as the driver lets out in relief: "You're a good boy, oh my god, thank god."
(Side note: Can we just appreciate how well-trained this dog is?! He clearly knew he wasn't allowed down the driveway and stayed put like the good boy he is!)
Justin's video has since amassed over 8.9 million views on the social media platform and received more than 11,000 comments.
Most people showered praise on the dog for being such a good boy, including Amazon's official TikTok account. Although, they were swiftly ordered to give Justin a raise:
Even country music artist Clay Walker wanted to see how the video turned out, as he commented: "I become very invested in this... glad he was a good boy."
However, as one person in the comments section pointed out: "Of course he's a good boy, it's those tiny ones you have to watch out for."
To which, Justin replied: "Yup exactly more guy at work got bitten by little dogs rather [than] bigger dogs."
One TikToker claiming to be a former Amazon delivery driver added: "Used to deliver for Amazon, and anytime I saw dog out in the front, it always a no go for me [sic]."
Just a reminder that although this dog was perfectly well-behaved when greeting delivery drivers - not all dogs are. So please, if you know you have a package or mail being delivered, please be sure to keep a close eye on your pooches.
