A python has become the center of attention on social media as a result of its "stunning" rainbow-colored scales.
According to Fox News, the snake - named "MyLove" - currently resides in The Reptile Zoo; located in Fountain Valley in the state of California.
The creature recently gained a lot of appreciation on social media when the zoo decided to share some footage of the animal's incredible glittering scales on its official Instagram account.
In a post shared with the zoo's 738,000 followers, a hepatologist spokesperson wrote in a caption: "MyLove's iridescence just never gets old."

They later shared another picture of the snake, which was captioned:
"Here's a little appreciation post for one of the prettiest snakes in The Zoo. Not only is she beautiful but she’s an absolute sweetheart [...] there’s a reason we named her MyLove."
These posts clearly resonated with a number of people and have racked up over 95,000 likes and a further 300 comments from many other Instagram users, at the time of writing.
One person wrote: "So stunning!! [sic]"
A second commented simply: "Beautiful snake."
This person agreed with the above poster, writing: "Okay that snake is beautiful."
While another chimed in: "Omg I want some pics with this snake so bad!!!! It's Beautiful!! [sic]"
Another added: "I swear, if I ever get out there to see y'all, my first request will be 'TAKE ME TO MY LOVE!' [...] She is simply GORGEOUS!!! [sic]"
Commenting on the snake in a later interview with Fox News, The Reptile Zoo founder Jay Brewer stated that MyLove was bred in captivity and that her colorful scales come from the motley gene and the golden child gene.
Brewer stated that MyLove was an uncommonly friendly reptile, stating that: "She’s a super, super sweet snake. Her disposition is one of the best I’ve seen.
"She’s probably one of the most famous snakes in the world. She’s really, really made it big on the internet."
