A yoga instructor's hilarious rant after being bitten by an iguana has gone viral on social media.

According to the Mirror, the original footage of the incident was first posted on Twitter by user @bahamahoopyogi, showing a woman stretching with her back arched on a beautiful sun-kissed beach.

However, at one point during a complex maneuver, an iguana who was hiding in the sand nearby her bit her hand.

Take a look at the original video of the lizard encounter right here:

This prompted the yoga instructor to let loose a flurry of expletives in shock and pain as a result of the mishap, even going as far as to throw sand at the animal in a bid to scare it off and deter it from further mischief.

She can be heard shouting out in consternation: "Ow! Owww! He bit my f***ing finger! Oh my f***ing God! You son of a b****! He bit my f***ing finger! No!"

The instructor later uploaded the footage to Twitter and captioned it: "I get bite from an iguana today [...] it was bleeding. [sic]"

Her video clearly resonated with other Twitter users; accruing over 3.5 million views, 25,0000 retweets, and 195,000 likes as of the time of writing.

For instance, one person wrote: "I didn't know iguanas were aggressive."

Another commented: "What [has] me weak is how he bite you and stay right dere to watch you get mad. [sic]"

Then this commenter informed the yoga instructor: "I'm so sorry. [Iguanas] are attracted to red nail polish...I remember they would attack toes when we were on the beach at home in the Caribbean."

Finally, this viewer said: "I did not mean to laugh at this the way I did. I laughed so hard I feel like I have to apologize."

The yoga instructor herself later took to the comments to provide a little more context, writing: "Everyone keeps asking if I didn’t see [it].

"To be clear, there were iguanas all over the beach. Ppl go there to feed them all the time. [sic]"

She also defended herself from accusations that she intended on harming the creature, stating: "I get [a] bite from the iguana and people attacking my vibes and character, y'all stupid for real.

"I don’t have bad vibes and I'm not toxic, the iguana was just hungry… damn! [sic]"
