Mom shares video of young son sneaking out of bed to cuddle with pet dog

If you were fortunate enough to grow up with a dog throughout your childhood, you'll know that there is no better partner in crime.

The perfect example of this is best buddies Finn and Brutus, who love to spend their nap times together.

And Paige Knudston, who is mom to 23-month-old Finn (the human of the pair), loves to share their inter-species friendship on Facebook as part of their 'Finn and Brutus Chronicles'.

Now, the most recent installment of the future Turner and Hooch shows young Finn climbing out of bed so he can spend the night snuggling with pooch pal.

In the clip, the nanny cam shows young Finn climbing out of his bed so that he can snuggle up next to his beloved boxer - unable to be apart from his furry friend for even eight hours.

Finn even takes his blanket with him, as an unperturbed Brutus allows his human companion to use him as a pillow.

And as you can see from other installments of the Finn and Brutus Chronicles - these two love nothing more than napping together (they're just like Joey and Ross from Friends).

Speaking to Bored Panda, mom Paige revealed: "Initially, Brutus would sleep on the rug in front of his crib every night."

However, when Finn started sleeping in a bed, Paige says that "Brutus began crawling up and sleeping in bed every night; it was as if he laid next to him to prevent him from rolling out of bed."

But after some time, it was Finn that started climbing out of his big-boy bed and sleeping next to his furry friend.

And people in the comments section absolutely loved seeing the two friends cuddling, flooding the family with adoring messages.

One person wrote: "Too cute. I love how Brutus is so unbothered but still checking on his buddy."

And another added: "1. I love both of them. 2. Brutus is SO sweet. 3. Please don’t ever stop posting the two of them together. It literally makes my day."

Finn truly is so lucky to have a friend like Brutus - and we can't wait to see more of the duo in the future!
