She may be one of the most decorated gymnasts in history, but Simone Biles clearly doesn't always get recognized.

Most recently, the 25-year-old Olympian was hilariously mistaken for a child by an airline attendant who offered to give her a coloring book to keep her occupied during a flight.

Biles made history last week when she became the youngest ever recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The seven-time Olympic medalist was presented with the award on Thursday (July 7) by President Joe Biden at a ceremony in Washington DC.

She may have achieved a lot at a young age, but on her way home from collecting the honor Biles was reminded that she's still not quite as young as she looks.

The gymnast took to her Instagram story to share the hilarious moment that a flight attendant tried to give her a coloring book after assuming that she was a child.

"Not the flight attendant trying to give me a coloring book when I board…" she wrote alongside a selfie of her on the plane, adding: "I said 'no I’m good, I’m 25.'"

At just 4-foot-8-inches, it's not entirely impossible to see why the unfortunate airline worker made their blunder. Thankfully, another crew member was quick to rectify the situation by offering Biles a much more adult treat.

"The other flight attendant gave me a mimosa so we’re in the clear," she wrote in a follow-up Instagram story. However, they still clearly hadn't recognized her, as she noted that they had to double-check that she was old enough to drink.

Biles made headlines over the weekend when Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis criticized the choice to award her with a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

"Fittingly, Biden awarded his presidential medals to fellow losers, Biles and Rapinoe," Ellis tweeted.

Biles stoked controversy when she clapped back on Twitter, writing: "Who is Jenna Ellis? Asking for everyone."

In total, Biles has seven Olympic medals under her belt - four golds, which she won during the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro, one silver, which she picked up in the 2020 Tokyo game, and two bronzes. She is tied with Shannon Miller for the most Olympic medals won by an American gymnast of all time.
