One day after being released from prison, 90 Day Fiancé star Jorge Nava is savoring his freedom and has shared a picture of his first meal on the outside world.

The reality star was initially arrested in February 2018 on felony charges for possession of marijuana for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the intent to transport and/or sell marijuana.

In September of that year, Nava accepted a plea deal which reduced his class two felony charges to a class four.

On September 13, 2018, he was booked into the Arizona State Prison Complex in Phoenix to serve a two-and-a-half-year sentence.

Nava underwent a 180lb weight loss in prison:

He told In Touch that he managed to lose so much weight thanks to a proper diet and exercise, explaining: "I actually do a lot of the eating [from the food] that they do give us [in prison]."

According to prison records, Nava was released on Monday from custody in Phoenix, but he remains under community supervision.

He also celebrated his release on Instagram sharing a series of pictures of himself leaning against a sports car that were captioned: "The sky is the limit #freedom".

Taking to Instagram stories, Nava also shared a picture of his first meal out since his release - a steak meal at Bandera restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The upmarket restaurant recently reopened its doors to a limited capacity in light of the reduction of the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Nava shared a picture of himself in his prison uniform in March and shared words of encouragement for his fans that hinted at his impending release.

"Hey everyone, so glad to be on Instagram now to be able to connect with you guys!" he wrote in the caption for the photo, adding:

"Praying for everyone that's being affected by the Coronavirus. I know it's a tough time for everyone right now. And we're all going through it. We just have to stay strong and positive and together we will get through it. Stay healthy, stay safe out there. Can't wait to be with you guys again soon!"
