Aaron Carter's final resting place has been revealed after the singer died aged 34 in November 2022.

The 'I Want Candy' singer was found dead on November 5 at his home in Lancaster, California, last year by his housekeeper, who found his body in his bathtub.

His death was ruled as accidental drowning after inhaling difluoroethane and taking alprazolam by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, and he was later cremated.

Aaron's ashes were left in the care of his twin sister Angel, who has revealed they are interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills, and urged fans to visit his grave.

Angel, 35, took to Instagram to share a photo of the plaque marking Aaron's final resting place in the famous cemetery, showing his name and the year of his birth and death, as well as the words: "Beloved brother, son, friend & father of Prince Carter".

Revealing the plaque for the first time, Angel told her followers: "Aaron’s portrait was placed this morning at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.

"He adored his fans, and I know how much this would mean to him now having a final resting place where we could all celebrate his life.

"I invite you to visit, share your memories, and never forget who Aaron was deep down."

Fans took to the comments to share their memories, writing: "so beautiful yet so sad I will forever miss his genuine heart he had for everyone. If we could all take a lesson from aaron is to love everyone you never know someone's personal struggles. R.I.P aaron."

Others wrote: "I miss him so much. I got to meet him a few times and we always would chat on Instagram randomly. A few times he actually helped me through some bad anxiety and depression, helping me push through it," and: "This is beautiful. My heart. It’s so nice to have a place to celebrate his life and all the wonderful memories he gave us."

Angel had previously opened up about how it felt to lose her twin brother, telling People: "To lose a twin, it's an out-of-body experience. He's a part of me.

"When he died, I had this sense of, 'I’ve got to bring him home and protect him.' It was my last way to protect him."

She added: "I can't trust that anybody else is not going to exploit him. So at that time, that was my last act of love."

The Carter family had faced tragedy back in 2012 when their sister Leslie died of a drug overdose, which Angel believes contributed to Aaron's own struggles.

She told the publication in August: "I always felt like that was the beginning of the end. Aaron was already in a bad place. I just kept waiting for him to snap out of it. But he never did."

Aaron is survived by his son Prince, who he shared with his former fiancée Melanie Martin, and who is now 23 months old and was just weeks shy of his first birthday when the singer tragically died.
