Adam Sandler has shared a sweet message to his wife Jackie, as the pair celebrate 20 years of marriage.

The actor, 56, married his wife Jacqueline in 2003 in a lavish ceremony in Malibu, and he shared a snapshot from the happy day as part of his tribute.

The photo sees Adam gazing adoringly at his bride as they stand at the end of a walkway adorned with white drapes, with chairs seen in the background with pink bows.

He wrote alongside it: "Happy 20th my sweet Jackie! Your “I do” was the best gift of my life."

The actor continued: "My heart has been yours since the first second I saw you and I love and appreciate your devoted soul more and more each day.

"Us. The kids. Lets keep going and going babe. Lots of love to give you. Always."

The pair had tied the knot in an outdoor Jewish ceremony, which took place at Dick Clark's estate facing the ocean in Malibu om June 22, 2003.

Of course, there were a few celebrity pals in attendance among the 400 family and friends, including Adam's longtime friend and co-star Jennifer Aniston, as well as Sharon Osbourne and Rodney Dangerfield.

Jackie and Adam may have been married for 20 years but they have actually been together for 25, and Adam is not afraid to share a sweet post in honor of his soulmate.

In July 2020, he marked 22 years of their love, writing at the time: "22 years ago today we locked eyes and fell deep. Look forward to the next 22, young lady. Love you my forever girl."

Jackie began her career as a model, and she and Adam met on the set of Big Daddy in 1999. She has since pursued a career in acting and producing and has worked together with her husband on many films.

Adam and Jackie are also proud parents to two daughters - Sadie, 17, and Sunny, 14 - and the whole family have even begun working together.

The Sandlers are set to star together in Netflix's upcoming movie You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah! which is set to arrive later in the year.

The film is based on author Fiona Rosenbloom's 2005 novel of the same name, and it is set to be a pretty hilarious ride.

The synopsis reads: "Stacy and Lydia are BFFs who’ve always dreamed about having epic bat mitzvahs. But things start to go comically awry when a popular boy and middle school drama threaten their friendship and their rite of passage."
