Adele fans are in hysterics as they believe the singer's fourth studio album is just around the corner... literally.

Fans have been documenting mysterious billboards with the number '30' on them across the world, and although the singer has not confirmed or denied it, fans are convinced it's Adele's new album being teased.

The singer released her last album '25' in 2015, with the number of the album title corresponding to the age of the singer when she started working on the record.

Now 33, Adele would have begun work on '30' in 2018 or early 2019 if it is indeed the title of the new album.

As you'd expect, '30' would follow suit from Adele’s previous albums '19', '21' and '25'.

So far, billboards have been spotted across buildings in Dubai and also in Ireland, The Mirror reports.

The billboards are simple – featuring just the number 30 written in a golden yellow on a blue and black-hued background.

It was noted that billboards have been seen at locations such as the Colosseum and the Louvre too, as per a Tweet by PopBase.

According to a tweet from Pop Crave, the billboards have already been spotted in Amsterdam, Berlin, Cardiff, Dublin, Dubai, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London, Los Angeles, NYC, Toronto, Paris, and Rome.

Last year, Adele's collaborator Ryan Tedder said the singer sounds "better than ever" on her new album.

The OneRepublic frontman worked with Adele on songs including Rumour Has It and Remedy, and now he's given fans a hint about what to expect on her next record.

Speaking to The Sun, he insisted he wasn't going to give away too much as he needs to "stay completely mom on new Adele".

However, he added: "I’ll just say that she sounds better than ever.”

The new album follows a difficult year for the star, during which she filed for divorce from her husband Simon Konecki after five years together.

The pair share eight-year-old son Angelo.

Songs are set to dive deep into her emotions as a contrast to the singer's personal life which is very much private.

While Adele has not commented on this new album, many fans believe she will be dropping the lead single from the album this Friday.

We’ll all just have to wait and see.
