Conservative pundit Candace Owens has been slammed by Alec Baldwin's daughter Ireland, following her controversial remarks about the death of Halyna Hutchins.
The 42-year-old cinematographer was accidentally killed on October 21 after Baldwin fired a Colt revolver that had been loaded with live ammunition — unbeknownst to him.
The incident, which took place on the set of the film Rust, also resulted in the film's director being injured.
Ireland, 26, took to her Instagram Story to address Owens' comments. "You are the most disgusting, hateful, cancerous human being I've ever come across," she wrote, per Independent.
"Regardless of your foul opinions most of the time, the fact that you would disrespect the life of a woman who was accidentally and tragically killed... Shame on you.''

In a now-deleted post, Owens wrote that the death of Hutchins was "poetic justice" for Baldwin's criticism of former president, Donald Trump, per Independent. The actor famously portrayed Trump on Saturday Night Live.
She wrote that the Beetlejuice star had spent "four years dedicated to painting Donald Trump and his supporters as evil murderers.''

"What has happened to Alec would be an example of poetic justice if it weren’t for the actual innocent people that were murdered by him. Pray for their families. So sad," she added.
After deleting the tweet, Owens proceeded to state: "Will correct that last tweet to say Alec Baldwin *killed* someone- not murdered someone, as murder carries a different legal definition.
"Literally, not one single thing that Alec Baldwin has said about Donald Trump and his supporters is going to age well."
Baldwin took to Twitter to issue a statement on October 22, saying that his "heart is broken" following the death of Hutchins.
"There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother, and deeply admired colleague of ours," the actor wrote.
"I'm fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna."
