Amy Schumer has issued a 'warning' for women in their 20s after taking to Instagram to share a before and after image of herself.
The comedian, 42, took to social media to share a couple of photos of herself from the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne in 2012, as well as a shot of her in hospital recently.
In the first pictures, she is seen smiling broadly at the camera, while in the last snap, Amy appears a bit disheveled as she is sat in a hospital gown with an IV stand near her.
She told her followers: "Warning 20 somethings I looked like this at your age. Swipe. Life is coming for you."
Despite Amy's caption stating she was in her twenties at the time the photo was taken, the comedian was actually 31 at the time of the roast.
She reiterated her message on her Instagram story too, sharing the same snaps and writing: "Girls in your 20s guess what? I looked like you too. Life is coming for you b***hes."
Several of Amy's celebrity pals hit the comments to share their thoughts, with Michelle Visage joking: "Relatable."
Viola Davis and Michelle Pfeiffer sent a series of laughing face emojis, while Leonardo DiCaprio's 26-year-old ex Camila Morrone quipped: "Im already at last slide."
Fans were also loving the unfiltered snap, writing: "I saw a picture of myself from 2005 the other day and I haven’t fully recovered, life comes at ya fast."
Another added: "it happens SUDDENLY too. Overnight," while a third warned: "Just wait until menopause. That's a fun one."
One commented: "I know that feeling! It only gets worse! Slippery slope," while another added: "This inspired one of those laughs that are so startling that your morning coffee comes out of your nose…."
Another fan had trouble containing themselves, writing: "This made me spit out my oatmeal. Thank you."
Amy has never shied away from sharing real and honest photos and takes on life with her followers, rather than the airbrushed and tweaked celebrity photos most are used to seeing on social media.
And while she isn't afraid of showing her true self on camera, Amy has also been honest about the cosmetic procedures she has had in the past.
The I Feel Pretty star, who welcomed son Gene with husband Chris Fischer in 2019, revealed in 2021 that she had tried cheek fillers but got them dissolved after not being happy with the fact they made her look like a Disney villain.
She told her followers at the time: "I tried getting fillers. Turns out, I was already full. Thank God you can dissolve them I looked like #maleficent."
Amy also underwent liposuction at the end of 2021 after having her uterus and appendix removed, telling the Hollywood Reporter why she chose to be open about having it done.
She explained at the time: "It’s not about needing to be slamming, because I’ve never been famous for being hot, but I’d reached a place where I was tired of looking at myself in the mirror.
"Everybody on camera is doing this s**t, I just wanted to be real about it."
