Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford have decided to go for a bizarre couple costume look for Halloween.

The 20-year-old and 31-year-old musicians reportedly became an item in mid-October with some social media users voicing their concerns about the age difference between the two almost immediately.

Social media users were stunned to find out that there was a solid eleven years difference between the couple, with some even claiming that Rutherford knew Eilish since she was 15 and he was 26 after the two were photographed together in 2017.

Per The Independent, one Twitter user wrote: "What could a 31-year-old man have in common with a 20-year-old girl?? The age gap weirds me out," which was echoed by a second who tweeted: "Why can’t men date someone their own age".

Despite not publically confirming their romance, the rumored couple appears to have leaned heavily into their age gap for Halloween, with the 'Oceans Eyes' singer dressing as a baby and the Neighborhood frontman dressing as an elderly man.

However, not many people on the social media platform were fans of the unsavory couple's costume, with some pointing out the red flags.

One user wrote: "That’s definitely not weird at all…"

Another said: "When I say that every adult in Billie's life failed her bc why did y’all continuously let this happen of dating men 10+ years older than her especially when she was a minor."

A third commented: "She saw the hate comments she was getting about the age gap between her and her boyfriend and they both decided to do this dumb s*** in a failed attempt to be quirky."

A fourth shared: "Getting called out for being in an inappropriate relationship and then deciding to have fun and dress up making fun of the gross aspects of the relationship is not the serve you think it is."

On October 13, the celebrity couple sparked dating rumors as they were seen cozying up to each other at the restaurant in photos obtained by TMZ.

The 'No Time To Die' singer, who has a reputation for being quiet about her love life, has not addressed the latest social media discourse regarding her relationship.

A couple of years ago, Eilish said on Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp that she "definitely" prefers to "keep" her relationships "private".

"I've had relationships and kept them private, and even the ones that I've had; with the tiny amount that I've let the world see, I regret," the Academy Award-winning singer explained.

"I think about the people that have made their relationships public, and then they break up, and it's like: 'What if it goes bad?'" she added.

Meanwhile, the 'Sweater Weather' singer previously dated a model called Devon Lee Carson. They became a couple in 2015 but by November 2021, it was speculated that the two had ended their romance.
