The Grammys are known for some avant-garde fashion looks on the red carpet - but there are always some hits and misses in certain people's eyes.
From Harry Styles' multicolored, bedazzled, patchwork one-piece to Sam Smith's devilish red latex look, the stars all brought their wildest looks to this year's show.
However, for every star making the best-dressed list, there are some turning heads for other reasons - and Blac Chyna's outfit was one that didn't go down well with everyone... including her own mother.
Chyna's mom, known as Tokyo Toni, did not hold back on her opinion of her daughter's award show look, labeling it "horrendous".
Talk about saying what you really feel...
Chyna had opted for a Black Swan-esque number for her turn on the red carpet, wearing a bedazzled bodysuit with tassels and a large feathered embellishment which stood up behind her head.
She carried on the look with a matching skull cap as well a statement black eyeshadow with crystal adornments on her face.
While the look was no doubt striking, her own mother has made it clear she was not a fan of the theatrical ensemble her daughter wore.
She told TMZ that the outfit was "horrendous", explaining: "I texted Chyna this morning and, uh, when I found out and I saw it, I said, 'Chyna, what in the H is this? Who are you trying to not impress?'"
Toni admitted: "It may have been a little mean, or whatever, but it was well-deserved."
Unsurprisingly, Toni also confirmed that Chyna hadn't replied to her message slating her fashion choices. Well, would you?
She added: "Maybe if I said, 'Oh, your dress was beautiful,' maybe I woulda got a response.
'It was terrible. And I just wish that whole day could just rewind and bring her back and put a nice gold dress on her with some blonde hair. We'd been happenin'.
"It was horrible. I think that outfit was horrendous. It was sickening."
Toni also said Chyna looked like "Black Adam's wife falling out of the sky", calling the look "disgusting" and saying that her daughter didn't even look like herself on the night.
She added that Chyna "deserved" the trolling she received from commenters and that a Grammys outfit should be "elegant" and "wifey-like" rather than outlandish.
Toni ended her rant by saying that she "wouldn't wish that dress in anyone in the world".
While the Grammys might not have been the ideal event to wear it to, Chyna's look definitely took a lot of work and would probably have gone down a lot better at the Met Gala, depending on the theme.
As for Chyna, she has yet to respond publicly to her mother's cutting remarks, but shared a video of herself in the look to Instagram, adding: "This is the power of authenticity."
Well, at least she knows her mom is going to give her her honest opinion - even if it's not what anyone wants to hear about their outfit.
