Bruce Willis's wife, Emma Heming Willis has shared sweet photos of the couple celebrating their daughter's 11th birthday amid the actor's battle with dementia.
Last month, Heming Willis took to social media to announce that her husband had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia following his aphasia diagnosis in 2022.
In a lengthy statement, the 44-year-old stated that she and the family were relieved to have a clear diagnosis despite the heartbreak that came with it.
"Since we announced Bruce's diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce's condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis."
She continued: "Bruce always believed in using his voice in the world to help others, and to raise awareness about important issues both publicly and privately."
Heming Willis also addressed the actor's fans stating that she and the family were thankful for the outpouring of support during this difficult time.
"Bruce has always found joy in life – and has helped everyone he knows to do the same," Heming Willis concluded. "It has meant the world to see that sense of care echoed back to him and to all of us. We have been so moved by the love you have all shared for our dear husband, father, and friend during this difficult time.
"Your continued compassion, understanding, and respect will enable us to help Bruce live as full a life as possible," she concluded.
Since then, the 44-year-old, who shares two children with the Die Hard actor, has been keeping fans in the loop on Willis' condition via social media.
Most recently, she posted a montage of heartwarming pictures and videos of her, Willis, and their 11-year-old daughter Mabel Ray for the youngster's birthday.
The heartwarming snapshots showed the little girl and her father throughout the years - right from when she was a baby to the present day.
In one part of the post, you can see Mabel sitting at a piano while Willis is seemingly playing the harmonica in a daddy-daughter duo shot, which most of the pictures also seemed to be. Others showed the pair spending quality time on walks or at the pool with each other over the past decade.
Alongside the video came a sweet caption dedicated to the birthday girl.
"Happy 11th Birthday Mabel Ray! Your energy is infectious. You can light a whole room with your smile and warmth," wrote her mom. "How you love and care for your family and friends is beautiful to witness. Keep shining my love and always remember to #liveitup."
Since it was published a few hours ago, the montage has already racked up over 22,000 likes as well as hundreds of comments gushing over the sweet post.
"Her and her papa," wrote one user, while another added: "Happy birthday to beautiful Mabel and May God protect your family!!"
A third urged the pair to "keep making memories."
As well as Mabel Ray, the pair also have another daughter together, Evelyn Penn, who was born two years after her older sister. Heming Willis is also a stepmom to Willis' three elder daughters from his first marriage to actress Demi Moore.
