Miley Cyrus has blasted her short-lived marriage to Liam Hemsworth, more than three years after the pair said their "I dos".

The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker branded her seven-month marriage to the Aussie actor a "f***ing disaster" as she interrupted her set at Lollapalooza Brazil to allow a fan to propose to his boyfriend.

Cyrus, 29, had invited the couple on stage so that one of the partners could propose to the other in front of the huge crowd.

After one of the men recited a heartfelt speech, in Portuguese, to his boyfriend, he proceeded to get down on one knee to pop the question, with the latter appearing to respond with the all-important "Yes".

Needless to say, the proposal was met with loud applause and cheering, with the 29-year-old singer and actress joining the celebration as she shouted: "Yes! Forever b****. Congratulations."

After hugging the newly-engaged couple, Cyrus then shaded her own marriage, saying: "Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine, mine was a f****** disaster."

Cyrus even posted a video of the moment to her Twitter account over the weekend, where she has more than 46 million followers.

The chart-topper and her ex-beau, 32, called it quits in August 2019 - a mere seven months after tying the knot in an intimate ceremony on December 23, 2018.

The divorce was finalized in January 2020 after Hemsworth filed for divorce the previous summer, citing "irreconcilable differences".

The singer's rep told People in a statement at the time of their split: "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.

"They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

The former child star had originally gotten engaged to the Hunger Games actor in May 2012, before they split in September 2013 and then reunited in 2016.

The two were first romantically linked back in 2008 after starring in the movie, The Last Song, together.

Drew Barrymore has revealed in a new interview that she intends never to get married again.

The 50 First Dates star has been married three times in the past, to Jeremy Thomas from 1994-1995, Tom Green from 2001-2002 and finally to Will Kopelman from 2012-2016.

However, Barrymore has vowed to never do so again, despite describing herself as a "hopeless romantic" in a new interview with PEOPLE.

"I am a hopeless romantic, and everybody on this planet needs love in some form," the actress said.  "And we are constantly contending with relationships. Love and those relationships may look differently for people. But it's there at its core. So, I can't help but want to explore and examine that."

Barrymore, 45, did admit to trying her hand at online dating.

"I've tried it. I went on a couple of dates," she revealed. "A lot of people totally ghosted me. And one time I was waiting to go on a date, and at the time we were supposed to meet he just wrote, 'Yeah, I can’t.' But I’d rather hang out with my friends."

However, despite these dating exploits and her romantic sensibilities, the actress is pretty emphatic about the notion of getting married again.

"Never. Never, never, never. I will never get married again!" she exclaimed.

"And I also believe people should not say the word 'never,' and I will never, with a capital N-E-V-E-R, never get married. It’s like I have two options: Cut it—this has not worked—or be Elizabeth Taylor. And I have too many more to go. I never want to be entwined with someone like that again ever. You break up, and you move on. You get divorced, and it’s just so different. I love that we are trying to hold on to an institution that [started] when the closest person to you for companionship was a three-day horse ride away and your life span was 30 years."

That's not to say that she's not open to the idea of having another relationship, though.

There's nothing we like more than a good celebrity couple; if only because they give the rest of us hope that true love might really be right around the corner. The whirlwind nature of celebrity romance has taken centre stage of late. What with the recent engagements of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, as well as Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, and Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas (are you out of breath too?), it's evident that despite what people say about the dating habits of Millennials, we're not wholly eschewing the institution of marriage - in theory at least.

Certainly, there have been many shotgun engagements within the celebrity ranks throughout the years. Here are eight of them...

1. Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morissette

Before Reynolds was one half of one of the most #CoupleGoals pairings out there, the actor proposed to Alanis Morissette after dating for five years. They were engaged for two, and called it quits in 2007.

2. Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger

The actors met while starring in Me, Myself and Irene, and were engaged from 1999 to 2000.

3. Darren Aronofsky and Rachel Weisz 

Aronofsky and Weisz were together for nine years, before calling it quits in 2010. They got engaged in 2005, and welcomed their son, Henry, shortly afterwards.

Following the split, many speculated that Weisz's future husband, Daniel Craig, had something to do with the couple's breakup.

4. Josh Brolin and Minnie Driver 

Brolin and Driver met while filming Slow Burn in 1998. They went onto announce their engagement in 2001, but split just five months later.

5. Lenny Kravitz and Nicole Kidman 

 Kidman recently revealed that she was engaged to Kravitz back in 2003. The pair remain on good terms.

6. Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood 

 Manson and Wood's relationship was controversial for many a reason: there was an 18 year age difference, Wood was only 18-years-old at the time, and they began dating while Manson was still married to Dita Von Teese.

The pair were together for four years and decided to tie the knot when Manson proposed on stage. They called it off one year later.

 7. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez 

Affleck and Lopez met while filming Gigli in 2002, but it just wasn't written in the stars. At first, their wedding was postponed, before they finally called it quits in 2004.

8. Kiefer Sutherland and Julia Roberts 

Sutherland and Roberts got engaged at the tender age of 24 and 23, respectively. But just three days before their wedding, Roberts split and flew to Ireland with Jason Patric - one of Sutherland's friends.
