Some of the world's biggest porn stars have revealed what the highest-earning sex position is in the industry.
The adult industry is worth north of $70 billion, according to several reports quoting differing exact amounts, but there's still a lot that the average person doesn't know about it.
Realistically, millions of people - at least - watch pornography, but barely anyone knows the ins and outs of the industry until someone on the inside lifts the lid on its realities.
Adult stars are speaking more about their experiences in the industry, whether it be those currently making content or those who have left that lifestyle behind.
One of the stars who has opened up about how much stars are paid for certain scenes is Australian adult actress Angela White.
The 41-year-old started in porn at just 18, so she knows pretty much everything there is to know.
The Aussie NSFW content creator admitted that OnlyFans has changed the game, previously being in the top 0.01 percent of creators on the platform.
But when it comes to filming professionally, the three-time AVN Performer of the Year revealed that with positions, essentially, "the more labour, the more pay."
She explained on the Life Uncut Podcast in 2024: "You know, in my whole career it's never been about money, it's always been about what I'm excited to do, and that's the thing, like when I'm directing the scene, it's not like I'm paying myself more for these acts."
Then, White revealed that anal sex is what takes the most time to prepare for, which also pays more.
"Definitely, if I'm working for another company and I'm doing anal, anal requires more labour time," she revealed.
White went on: "There's a process that we go through to clean out and prepare for anal, so more labour time equals more money.
"And for me, I always said like, 'You're not paying me extra for anal, you're paying me not to eat because I love eating'."
But she isn't alone in admitting that anal is the highest-maintenance, yet the highest-paying sex position for porn stars.
Speaking to Vice in 2020, Italian porn star Nappi explained: "Think about it: how many people pay to watch porn online? Most don’t, so production budgets are usually low."
She said that the notion that adult actors are rich is "absurd", claiming that they're the "least-paid public figures if you consider how popular we are."
When asked about compensation, she answered: "These days, you’re paid per scene. Getting an exclusive contract is quite rare, and your fee depends on many factors – how famous you are, the type of scene and so on."
Nappi then revealed: "A lesbian scene is paid less than a scene with penetration, and anal is paid more."
The 35-year-old then pointed out: "When I went to the States, I was already quite well-known, so my starting fee was higher than what you’d normally get as a beginner. I made €1,070 ($1,240) for a regular hetero scene."
