Pop singer Ariana Grande has reportedly donated a massive sum of $300,000 to Planned Parenthood, following the abortion ban that passed in Georgia.
TMZ reports that Grande donated the entirety of the proceeds from her sold-out Atlanta concert performance on June 8 to the organisation, and Grande is far from the only one who's spoken out in opposition to the abortion ban in Georgia, which has gained notoriety for not only the severity of its punishment, but for a stipulation called the "heartbeat bill".

Georgia have moved to ban abortions at any point once a heartbeat has been detected, which is usually around eight weeks of pregnancy (not long enough for some women to even realise they're pregnant), and the likes of Netflix and Disney have spoken out against the bill, signed by Georgia governor Brian Kemp.
"We have many women working on productions in Georgia, whose rights, along with millions of others, will be severely restricted by this law," said Netflix boss Ted Sarandos, promising to partner up with the American Civil Liberties Union in order to fight the bill, which is set to come into effect in January of next year.
"It’s why we will work with the ACLU and others to fight it in court. Given the legislation has not yet been implemented, we will continue to film there — while also supporting partners and artists who choose not to. Should it ever come into effect, we’d rethink our entire investment in Georgia."
