The world is still struggling to come to grips with the death of 46-year-old George Floyd - a black man who died shortly after a white police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes.
Yesterday, protests and riots continued across the US, as people called for justice for Floyd, a stop to police brutality, and for discrimination against black people to finally come to an end.

Now, singer Billie Eilish has taken to social media to blast white people for chastizing the #BlackLivesMatter movement and slogan by posting "#AllLivesMatter" instead.
Posting a typed essay to her 63 million+ Instagram followers, the 'Bad Guy' singer started by saying:
"I’ve been trying to take this week to figure out a way to address this delicately. I have an enourmous [sic] platform and I try really hard to be respectful and take time to think through what I say and how I say it… But holy f**king s**t I’m gonna just start talking.
"If I hear one more white person say "aLL liVeS maTtEr" one more f**king time I’m gonna lose my f**king mind.
"Will you shut the f**k uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup???? No one is saying your life doesn’t matter. No one is saying your life is not hard.
"No one is saying literally anything at all about you…. all you mfs do is find a way to make everything about yourself. This is not about you. Stop making everything about you. You are not in need. You are not in danger."

The 18-year-old American singer then used a series of analogies to argue her point, saying: "I’m gonna try to explain this as if you were a child because it feels like that’s the only way you MFs will understand." She added:
"If your friend gets a cut on their arm, are you gonna wait to give all your friends a BandAid first, because all arms matter? No, you’re gonna help your friend because they are in pain because they are in need because they are bleeding!
"If someone’s house was on fire and someone is stuck in the house, are you gonna make the fire department go to every other house on the block first because all houses matter? No! Because they don’t f***ing need it."
Elish then explained about White Privilege, and the fact that society does and had always benefited white people over people of color. She continued:
"You are privileged whether you like it or not. Society gives you privilege just for being white. You can be poor, you can be struggling, and still your skin color is giving you more privilege than you even realize. And nobody is saying that makes you better than anyone. It just lets you live your life without having to worry about surviving simply because of your skin color! You are privileged!
"If all lives matter why are black people killed for just being black? Why are immigrants persecuted? Why are white people given opportunities that people of other races aren’t? Why is it okay for white people to protest literally being asked to stay at home while carrying semi-automatic weapons? Why is it okay for black people to be called thugs for protesting the murder of innocent people? Do you know why? White. F***ing. Privilege.
"Does white privilege affect Hispanic people? Native Americans? Asian People? Yes for f***ing sure it does. 100000000000000%. But right now right in this moment… We have to address hundreds of years of oppression of black people."

Eilish concluded by saying:
"The slogan of #BlackLivesMatter does not mean other lives don’t. It’s calling attention to the fact that society clearly thinks black lives don’t f***ing matter! And they f***ing do! It means black lives f***ing matter. Black lives matter. Black lives matter. Black lives matter. Say it again. #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd."
