Britney Spears is celebrating being a "new auntie" after finally reuniting with NSYNC alum Lance Bass and meeting his two adorable children.

On Monday (July 24), the 41-year-old 'Toxic' pop star shared pictures of her meeting the 44-year-old singer's 20-month-old twins, Violet Betty and Alexander James.

The 'Baby One More Time' hitmaker excitedly penned on Twitter: "I’m a new auntie for Lance’s babies !!! They are absolutely gorgeous babies !!!"

As seen in both of the sweet reunion posts, Spears happily grinned as she held each twin in her arms while her long-time friend carried the respective other. The singer’s husband Sam Asghari was also pictured standing next to his wife.

Check out Spears' post below:

The 'Bye Bye Bye' singer welcomed his twins via surrogate with his husband Michael Turchin in October 2021.

At the time, he took to Instagram to share the happy news and a picture of a birth certificate with the caption: "The baby dragons have arrived!!

"I can not express how much love I feel right now. Thank you for all the kind wishes. It meant a lot," he continued. "Now, how do you change a diaper??! Ahhhhhhhh!"

Spears and Bass became friends after dominating the pop charts and touring together in the 90s. The 'Stronger' singer even famously dated Bass' former bandmate, Justin Timberlake.

In fact, the two were so close that the former boy group member quietly revealed to Spears that he was gay before coming out to the public years later.

The pair's relationship changed at some point during the 'Slave 4 U' singer's now-terminated conservatorship, which was kept in place for 13 years.

The father-of-two told PageSix last year that it was difficult for him to get in touch with the pop icon, explaining: "It’s just, you know, there’s a wall around her," adding, "And for some reason, those people don’t want her old friends involved with her life."

In June, Bass confirmed on his iHeartRadio podcast, Frosted Tips, that Spears had "reached out through her people" in hopes of reuniting to "meet the kids and all that".

While the NSYNC star didn't specify when the exchange happened, he claimed that the 'Piece Of Me' musician's team tried to "stop" the reunion, explaining the layers of people he had to speak with to get a message to his dear friend.

"You have to talk through people," he remarked, adding that "it’s very strange."

Nevertheless, Spears calling herself an "auntie" after meeting Bass' children isn’t too far-fetched as the podcaster discovered on a 2021 episode of Ancestry's 2 Lies & A Leaf that he is actually related to the Grammy-winning performer as a sixth cousin, once removed.

"Are you kidding me? ... This is amazing. Oh my gosh!", Bass said. "Look, I wanted to be related to the Queen. Well, now I'm related to the queen of pop!

"That is so crazy though, 'cause, I mean, I feel like she's my little sister, and this whole time she's been, my little cousin. And it makes sense because we were born an hour from each other. This is so cool," he gushed.

"For some reason, I always felt like we looked like family, even when we were kids. I mean, this means so much to me. She is like family to me, so the fact that we are blood-related is amazing," Bass added.
