Britney Spears' boyfriend jumps to her defense after Timbaland tries to humiliate her

Timbaland attempted to publicly embarrass Britney Spears, but her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, wasn't having any of it.

After the Give it to Me rapper mocked Britney's latest dancing video - where she can be seen grooving to Nelly Furtado's song, Say It Right, which features Timbaland's vocals - Sam rushed to the defense of his girlfriend.

"Okkkkkkk @britneyspears like @lilduval said @TEYANATAYLOR you got 24 hours to respond," Timbaland wrote on Twitter, comparing Britney's freestyle moves to R&B artist Teyana Taylor's dancing.

The 48-year-old reportedly has an ongoing feud with the ...Baby One More Time singer.

Sam promptly hit back at Timbaland, writing on Instagram: "Since when someone being themselves (extremely talented) is a problem? Don't bother for a response from her she actually has real fans and people that have been inspired from her work unlike you that had to buy followers.
"I mean 3M followers 11k likes? Doesn't even make since. I even had to look you up? [sic]"

Britney's fans also took to Twitter to criticize Timbaland for his comments, with some claiming that he's "annoyed" with the singer as she reportedly refused to work with him and Justin Timberlake on a track as part of her comeback following her public breakdown in 2007.

"This is so immature, imagine doing this at your age. Your just annoyed at the time britney chose not to work with you. Mess. No one cares about your music anymore. 2000s was your last hits because you wouldn’t even know how to make anything modern now [sic]," wrote one Twitter user, while another corroborated:

"Keep it cute fatie we still remember you and your girlfriend Justin trying to kick her when she was already down back in 2007. Don't think we forgot your disgusting comments and how you tried to use her pain for some quick headlines. This woman has been through ENOUGH, back OFF!! [sic]"
