Britney Spears has expertly replied to fans who have complained about her dance videos.
After a number of Instagram followers criticised her choreography for not being perfect, the 39-year-old singer decided to respond (February 1) – and her explanation couldn't have been better.
"I'm trying to learn how to use technology in this technology driven generation," she wrote. "But to be totally honest with you I can't stand it [tears of joy emojis]!!! So ... if my posts aren't perfect ... I'm doing this for fun !!!! [sic]"
She then shut down her critics by telling them that she is over the pressure put on her to look a certain way and she's happy to do her thing without caring what people think.
"If you think I should look like I'm on a magazine cover when I dance .... sorry ain't happening!!!! [sic]" the Grammy winner continued.
The Toxic singer certainly hasn't let the haters deter her from posting dancing videos to social media. In fact, during this past week, she has posted videos of herself showing off her moves to Billie Eilish's i love you, J Balvin's Mi Gente, and Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake's Holy Grail.
The Justin Timberlake video was particularly significant as Britney herself used to date Timberlake.
"Danced in my black [turtle emoji] neck last week to HOLY GRAIL !!!! I KNOW ... turtle necks are SO ME [sic]," she captioned that post and even tagged Justin.
This is not the first time that the singer has said that she is no longer as focused on being as glamorous as she once was. She wrote on Instagram in July: "After all this time in my life I'm just now learning that no makeup is the way to go. "I mean, a little makeup is fun but after spending so much time in hair and makeup chairs to look flawless – I think a natural look is the way to go. "It makes you look waaaay younger and so much better. Pssss YES.... I know I'm wearing mascara in this. [sic]."
