There had been rumours swirling in gossip column inches for months that Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson were dating.
Since May of last year, when the pair were spotted leaving a concert together at the Apollo Theatre in New York, fans were speculating as to whether the pair might actually be a couple, but it wouldn't be until September of last year that we got some solid evidence to suggest that they were together.
Ashley Benson wrote "Mine" underneath a picture of Cara at a Q&A, and Instagram went into raptures of excitement, immediately shipping the pair.
Then we fast forward all the way to June of this year, when Cara Delevingne posted this steamy clip of the pair kissing from the movie Her Smell:Then just mere days later, Cara paid tribute to Ashley while receiving an award. She said;
“I also have another very special woman in this room to thank and you know who you are.
“She’s one of the people who helped me love myself when I need it most and I really needed it.
“She showed me what real love is and showed me how to accept it, which was a lot harder than I thought. I love you, Sprinkles.”
Then, fans thought they spotted the pair had gotten matching tattoos, and their adorable relationship continued to grow.
Fast track once again to just three days ago, and Cara paid tribute to Ashley Benson with a heartfelt post on Instagram, which featured the pair kissing in a bathtub. She wrote;
"Happy birthday @ashleybenson There is so much I could say but something I love and cherish most about us is that I don’t need to because YOU KNOW and that’s all that matters. It’s you and me which is my favourite. My safe place. You let me be silly, you let me be wild, you keep me free, secure and curious. I feel like I’ve known you my entire life and I am so proud of watching you grow into the woman that you always dreamt of being. I love you beyond words my sprinkles, choonchi, angel face, grumpy ass, sweet cheeks, never boring, buttmunch, Benson ❤️❤️❤️❤️"
