Cardi B has once again sparked speculation that she might be expecting another child, less than a year after giving birth to her third baby with her estranged husband, Offset.
The rumors started swirling after fans noticed Cardi's behavior during her recent Instagram Live, leading many to believe she could be pregnant.
But what’s the real story?
On August 21, 2025, Cardi took to Instagram Live to directly address the swirling rumors that she was expecting again.
A fan had speculated that she was “30 weeks pregnant,” based on the way she appeared on camera.
Cardi wasn’t having it and shut down the comment immediately.
"‘Look 30 weeks pregnant’? No, you stupid b*tch,” Cardi said, firing back.
“I’m just f*** out of breath ’cause I have asthma… Stop f***ing being f***ing funny in this bitch before you get motherf***ing blocked, b*tch. Stupid a** comment, don’t put that s*** on me, b*tch.”
Her blunt response seemed to confirm that she was not pregnant.
However, she didn’t leave it there.
Shortly after the Instagram Live, Cardi stirred the pot again with a cryptic tweet on X (formerly Twitter), casting doubt on her earlier statement. “But AM I?…” she posted, along with a GIF of Tokyo Toni raising her eyebrows, leaving fans questioning whether she was teasing something more.
The rumors first gained traction when Cardi posted a video of herself rapping to her latest single, 'Imaginary Playerz', while wearing a black bodysuit.
Fans immediately began speculating that her outfit could be hiding a baby bump, especially since she covered her midsection with her hand and appeared to wear loose clothing throughout her trial.
These small actions seemed to fuel the speculation that Cardi may indeed be pregnant, even though she denied it in her Live.
Cardi is already a mother to three children with her estranged husband, Offset (whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus).
Their first child, Kulture Kiari Cephus, was born in 2018, followed by their son, Wave Set Cephus, in 2021. Their third child, a daughter named Blossom, was born in 2024, just a few months after Cardi filed for divorce from Offset in July 2024.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Cardi confirmed that Offset still has access to their children, including Blossom.
“Kiari is allowed to see my kids,” Cardi tweeted.
“It is not one day that he’s not allowed to see my kids.
"He stood up my kids three times.”
She also clarified: “He has seen Blossom only like five times, and I been trying to save your face…I said you can see my kids in my house.
"I want my daughter to feel the love of her dad.
"He hasn’t seen his kids since March.”
As the pregnancy rumors continued, Cardi took to X Spaces to defend her decision to have multiple children while maintaining a successful career.
Some people have criticized her, claiming she’s having kids to avoid her responsibilities as a musician.
Cardi wasn’t having any of it.
“People always want to call me lazy, people always want to say that I want to have babies to avoid my responsibilities,” she said.
“I love making music. I go to the studio almost every single day. I sleep in the studio because I love to make music.”
She continued: “If my career ever ends, it’s going to be because I died. It’s never going to be because an opinion or motherf***er got to me.”
Cardi is currently fighting a court case brought by a security guard who alleges that she assaulted her, per BBC News.
The singer has denied all allegations.
