If you've got a birthday coming up in the near future, then you might feel like the whole thing is a total bummer. With everyone stuck indoors, you might feel like there's no way to celebrate.
However, some celebrities are showing us all how to enjoy our birthdays remotely. For instance, Carmen Electra has taken to Instagram this week to celebrate her 48th birthday with some throwback swimsuit pics.
Electra recently took to Instagram to address her fans personally:Carmen first uploaded a picture of herself wearing in a blue one-piece swimsuit and wearing a matching blue headband that read "Happy Birthday." Then there came another picture of herself in the blue suit running her fingers through her blonde hair, and a series of images of her birthdays gone by.
In a recent interview with the New York Times, Carmen opened up about how she was actually quite insecure when she began her acting and modeling career, stating: "I guess I just wanted to seem like I couldn’t be hurt, wanted to seem almost like a character, those images of being a fighter."
She continued: "I would literally walk into the auditions and see all these gorgeous, perfect women sitting there, and I’m looking, like, trying to make sure I have my lines, my dialogue memorized, and sometimes I’d just walk out.”
She also spoke about how her split from Prince led to a tough period for her, stating: "I was struggling in Los Angeles, I didn’t have a car, I didn’t have a credit card. I had $5,000 that I hid, and my boyfriend at the time stole it and gambled it away."
She added: "I got to the point where I was counting change, and had a shank in my back pocket, and a pager, because I wasn’t living in a good neighborhood and I would have to walk to the pay phone. I didn’t have a penny. I had a beautiful wardrobe and my makeup case, so people didn’t really understand or realize my living situation."
