Chris Pratt has shared a heartfelt tribute to his long-time stunt doubt Tony McFarr following the performer's tragic death at 47.
On Thursday, McFarr's mom confirmed to TMZ that her son had sadly passed away "suddenly" and "unexpectedly" at his home in Orlando, Florida, on May 13.
Mom Donna stated that her son was "active and healthy" at the time of his death, and could not provide further details. TMZ added that The Orange County Medical Examiner has the case and is running toxicology tests.
Now, 44-year-old Chris Pratt has honored his late stunt double in a touching message to his 45 million Instagram followers.

McFarr and Pratt started working together when the stuntman was cast as his double on 2015’s Jurassic World. The pair would continue to work together throughout the movies Passengers, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Writing in a Story, Pratt said: "Devastated to hear about the loss of my friend and former stunt double Tony McFarr.
"We did several movies together. We golfed, drank whiskey, smoked cigars, and spent endless hours on set. I'll never forget his toughness."

Sharing a memory from the set of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol II, Prat continued: "I remember he took a nasty show to the head (in the title sequence of Guardians 2) and got several staples in his head - he came right back to work ready to go again.
"He was an absolute stud. He was always a gentleman and professional. He'll be missed. My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter."
Pratt also shared several photos of the two together on various sets.

This is not the first time Pratt has celebrated his friendship with McFarr. In previous Instagram post, the Marvel star wrote: "Here's me and my stunt-man Tony McFarr (also Tommy Harper stunt coordinator and our first AD Lars Winther) on set. Been working with Tony since Jurassic World. Love you buddy! Happy wrap!"
McFarr also carried out stunt work on movies like The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1, Furious 7, and Captain America: Civil War.
He also worked as Jon Hamm's stunt double in the 2018 comedy movie Tag.
On the small screen, he also performed stuntwork for shows like Bones, Teen Wolf, Homeland, and The Walking Dead.
An actor himself, McFarr also boasted acting credits in shows like Macgyver, Burn Notice, and One Tree Hill.
Our thoughts continue to go out to McFarr's family, friends, and fans at this time.
