Before Chris Pratt was one of the biggest movie stars in the world, acting in Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World and the Lego Movie, Chris Pratt was but a simple sitcom actor, earning seventh billing in the NBC classic Parks and Recreation.

Before Chris Pratt was a simple sitcom actor, he was taking bit-part roles in films like Wanted in 2010 or 2013's Her (yup, those are all Chris Pratt). But before that, Chris Pratt was filling the roles that many wannabe actors take on their long and winding path to stardom, and working at a fast food place.

And, listening to him talk about it, I'm kind of glad that Chris Pratt made it big in Hollywood, because he does not sound like the kind of guy you'd want handling your food. Guardian of the Galaxy? If his time at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. was anything to go by, he was not exactly guardian of the shrimp.

In a throwback Instagram photo, the newly-engaged 39-year-old shared with us a photo of himself in front of a sign for the shrimp emporium, revealing that he used to work there when he was just a teenager. But as his caption explained, he didn't appear to be much good at it.

"Twenty years ago I was a waiter at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. Every time I go back I’m reminded of the thousands of shrimp I ate off of people’s plates on the way back to the kitchen. Please tip your server. Leave at least 20%. Also leave some shrimp."

On the one hand, eating leftover shrimp from the plates of strangers sounds... pretty gross. But, on the other hand, shrimp is delicious, and I kind of don't blame him. But, he does make a good point: please tip your servers properly, folks.

Of course, while Chris Pratt can reminisce about his days as a waiter with a wistful, nostalgic eye, I bet that today, he's absolutely dying for some shrimp right about now. He's just undergone an intense, three-week diet where any sort of seafood or dairy would be greatly welcomed.

On the Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Pratt talked about the end of his 21-day ordeal on the Bible-inspired Daniel Fast, which consisted of mostly grains, bread and unleavened bread. Of course, if you remember Pratt's Instagram story from when he started it, he was... not enjoying it.

"OK, hi, Chris Pratt here. Day three of the Daniel Fast, check it out, it’s 21 days of prayer and fasting. It’s gonna coincide also coincidentally with the Lego Movie 2 junkets, so by the time you see me, I’ll probably be hallucinating. Stay tuned."

Of course, Daniel is the biblical figure from the Bible who spent several days unharmed in the lion's den, and Pratt joked with Stephen Colbert was a big part of the diet. "Lion fighting is sick cardio, for sure. We do that on the last day," he explained.

But whatever it is
