Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel have spoken up after photos emerged of them with a newborn baby.
In mid-August, TMZ obtained pictures of the 34-year-old sisters, who starred in their own TLC reality series, carrying an infant in a car seat and placing it into the back of a black Tesla in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
Two weeks later, the outlet photographed them running errands with Abby's husband, Josh Bowling. It was reported that the sisters were dropping their dog off at the groomer while Bowling went to a nearby grocery store.
And then on August 27, the US Sun shared additional photos of Abby and Brittany holding the baby carrier outside a Minnesota school where they work as fifth-grade teachers.
The picture shows them chatting with a colleague before taking the baby out of the car seat and bringing the child into the school for about half an hour to meet co-workers.
While the sisters, who are dicephalic parapagus twins (meaning they have two heads but share one body), have not publicly commented on the identity of the child, they did offer a cryptic response.
On August 30, they shared a TikTok video featuring several pictures of them carrying a baby over the past few weeks. The video, set to Dr. Dre's 'Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang,' was simply captioned "Blessed," along with the hashtags "sisterhood" and "respect."
As the post did little to clear up the speculation, it left many people in the comments section confused. "I have so many questions," one person wrote. "Is this their child? Or baby sitting?" another asked.
In contrast, others offered words of praise and support. "I'm glad to see you're still out and about! With that said you don't owe anyone, anything. People can wonder all they want, they are not entitled to your lives. I pray the best for you!" one user shared.
The TikTok video comes more than a year after news of Abby's marriage to Bowling went public. Though the couple married in 2021, their wedding was not widely known until March 2024, when official records were obtained by Today.
After the news broke, Bowling changed his Facebook profile picture to a cozy selfie with both Abby and Brittany.
The Hensels have addressed public criticism after the news of Abby and Bowling's wedding first broke.
They posted a TikTok with the message: “This Is a Message To All the Haters Out There. If You Don't Like What I Do But You Watch Everything I'm Doing You're Still a Fan.” They also shared clips from the wedding, including their first dance to a remix of Adele’s 'Rolling in the Deep'.
In addition to this, they have consistently maintained their privacy, with Brittany once stating: “The whole world doesn’t need to know who we are seeing, what we are doing and when we are going to do it.”
