Earlier this week Criss, best known for his roles in Glee and American Horror Story, stunned audiences at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards 2024.

The event, which took place at the American Museum of Natural History on October 28, celebrated the trailblazers in the fashion industry as well as the all-time greats such as Erykah Badu, Michael Kors, and Daniel Roseberry.

Other notable stars who appeared at the event included Anna Wintour, Kylie Jenner, Cynthia Erivo, Addison Rae, Blake Lively, and Paris Hilton.

Despite all the big names at the show, Criss stole the spotlight after he showed up in a cropped, open black blazer showing off his toned chest.

However, the real talking point of the outfit was the bottom half, with the actor opting for a bright purple tulle maxi skirt.

The tutu, which was designed by Christian Siriano, had black rose details near the waistline.

Fans couldn't help but praise the star for his choice.

"My King slayed. He's looking supermegaawesomefoxyhot," wrote one user on X, while another added: "He killed this omg."

Over on Instagram, people were also praising Criss.

"Is it CRISSmas, because this is a GIFT!!!!" this user wrote.

"ETHEREAL!! Absolutely stunning!! a work of art!!" another Instagrammer chimed in.

This marks the 37-year-old's first appearance on a red carpet wearing a 'fit traditionally associated with women's fashion, though he's had some pretty great looks before.

Speaking about his love for fashion the star revealed that his interests truly come out when he wants to get "dressed up".

"I’ve had the great fortune of being involved with many people in the fashion industry as a byproduct of the job that I have and the connections I’ve been lucky enough to make," he told Broadway Style Guide. "For that, I am very grateful, but I would never pick me off the street and say, 'Hey, you should be involved with fashion!'"

He continued, stating that fashion serves many functions and they differ based on the person.

"I don’t dress up every day to work because I get dressed up at work, and then there is going to events, which is also kind of like work, so that’s a very specific kind of getting dressed up," Criss said.

"My fashion interests lie for when I get dressed up," he added.

And let's just say, he definitely turned up at the CFDA Fashion Awards - and here's hoping this will inspire others to get bolder with their looks too.
