Victoria Beckham has received a lot of backlash after her muted reaction to England's historic victory over Norway in the World Cup quarter-finals on Saturday (July 11).
Posh Spice could be seen sitting with her husband, David, who is a former England captain himself, and their family.
This included children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 15, with the continued absence of Brooklyn from family functions.
The Beckhams sat in their private VIP box at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, where they watched the Three Lions emerge victorious over Erling Haaland's Norway in a 2-1 win, after extra time.
Jude Bellingham bagged both goals, with the second coming as the winner in the third minute of extra time, where David, aka Golden Balls, could be seen going ballistic.
While David and his sons could be seen with fists in the air at another magic moment from the Real Madrid and England midfielder, Victoria appeared less than impressed.
The result booked England a spot in the semi-finals for just the fourth time in World Cup history, but the former Spice Girl held a stern look on her face as England's second goal flew in.
Her reaction soon went viral, with many taking aim at the fashion designer and her perceived lack of patriotism, but her husband was quick to come to her defense.
American comedian Jenny Johnson made some sarcastic comments about Victoria's reaction, writing: "I wanted to take a moment to single out @england’s number one fan Victoria, Lady Beckham!!!!
"There’s nothing like cheering your heart out for England from home, then they cut to Victoria, and we see that classic Posh Spice smile!"
She joked that it was "infectious," and that "Victoria blows my enthusiasm out of the water," concluding: "Each time I see her I shout, 'SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!!!!' because her energy is electric!!! See for yourself!"
David spotted the post, and while he remained playful, he defended his wife of 27 years in a comment.
"She was celebrating inside I promise [laughing emoji]. Her reactions were slightly slower than mine @jennyjohnsonhi5," he penned.
It's fair to say that England fans weren't best pleased, as one joked: "People are often critical of Victoria Beckham but to see this outpouring of emotion here from her as England scores a goal shows her deep connection with both football and the team," with a snap of their reactions.
Another posted: "That priceless moment when you can tell how much Posh Spice loves football," with laughing emojis.
A third pointed out the time "England turned on Beckham," when Three Lions fans hung effigies of the player from lampposts after the winger was sent off in a 1998 round-of-16 tie against Argentina, which England lost on penalties.
The media also branded him "one stupid boy," as crowds around the country booed him for over a year - so maybe the lack of enthusiasm could be understood.
But footage from later on showed that she did stand up to applaud the goal, seconds after David jumped out of his seat.
Others defended Posh Spice, as one user penned: "Well she didn't earn the name Posh Spice just to start screaming and jumping around like a football hooligan."
Another agreed: "Can’t blame her, she probably still hates the fans from when they chanted about her."
A different user wrote: "Love her even more for this. She is who she is."

David Beckham knows just how to cheer his wife up.
Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham, 47, shared a picture of a funny note her soccer legend husband left on her lunchbox when she was in a "grumpy" mood.
The note - which Victoria shared to her Instagram story on Wednesday - was attached to a food container and read: "Enjoy lunch ****hole..."
"Come home happier :)," it added, before signing off: "lots of love you know who.."
The cheeky message clearly cheered her up. Alongside a picture of the note, the fashion designer also wrote on her Instagram story "Even when I'm grumpy he looks after me!"
She also thanked her husband, writing "Thank you for my lunch @davidbeckham."
The couple, who tied the knot on July 4 1999, recently celebrated their 22-year anniversary.
Victoria marked the occasion by posting a montage of them over the years, with the caption "I love you, David. Happy Anniversary."
Meanwhile, the ex-England player shared a collection of photos showing the pair in a handful of their iconic matching outfits.
"22 years later, still matching outfits," he joked. "Happy anniversary love u so much and thank you for giving me our amazing kids so we can all wear the same"
Alongside their head-to-toe leather looks and matching khaki, David made sure to include a couple of snaps from the pair's iconic Fuschia-themed wedding.
He finished on a picture of the whole family in matching silk pajamas.
The Beckhams have four children - 22-year-old Brooklyn, 19-year-old Romeo, 16-year-old Cruz, and 10-year-old Harper.
It's clear the whole family shares a love of cooking. Alongside making packed lunch for his wife, David often shows off his culinary talent on Instagram, and recently wowed fans by collaborating with award-winning chef Massimo Bottura.
He shared a video of himself plating up some food under Bottura's strict instructions to Instagram, writing: "what a treat to create the spin painting on Massimo’s plate."
Meanwhile, his eldest son Brooklyn has recently launched his own online series, Cookin' with Brooklyn, in which he takes a culinary journey around America.
Victoria Beckham has posted a rather revealing photo of her soccer star husband on her Instagram page, and it's got fans blushing.
The Beckhams are arguably one of the most iconic families of the 21st century as the British-born couple forged incredible careers of their own and their kids have followed suit.
David is one of soccer's most influential players and during his career, he established a very impressive resume while making a name for himself as one of the best free-kick takers the game has ever seen.
During his time in the game, he played in the red of Manchester United, and the white of Real Madrid, while also having stints at AC Milan, LA Galaxy, and PSG.

His hairstyles during his playing career seemed to change by the day, but as he got older he stuck with one style and it clearly works for him.
Well, for those who know exactly what I'm talking about - his wife Victoria has presented an absolute treat for you with a pretty NSFW image of her husband to celebrate his birthday.
Captioning the post, Victoria wrote: "Let’s all celebrate @davidbeckham !! You’re welcome!"
Let's just say, people were incredibly happy to celebrate the former England international in all his glory, as he posed in nothing but a hat and white underwear.
One user commented: "Thank you Victoria.. from all the women of the world," while a second added: "It’s DB’s bday yet you gave all of us this gift."
A third said: "Victoria looking out for the people."

Just in case anybody isn't fully satisfied, last month eagle-eyed fans think they saw a very naked David Beckham in the background of one of Victoria's gym photos.
That's one way to stay motivated to work out, I suppose.
Fans of soccer player David Beckham have rushed to his defense after some people questioned a photograph of him kissing his daughter on the lips.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, the former England team captain shared some adorable family snaps with his 64.7 million followers, that showed him and nine-year-old daughter Harper spending time together at an organic farm in Gloucestershire.
The finished result was a stunning autumnal wreath, and the pair posed for a lovely daddy-daughter picture together.
However, another shot of the two which was later shared by David's wife, 46-year-old former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, caused a stir on social media.
Sharing a couple of cute snaps with her 28.7 million followers, Posh Spice posted a photo of proud father David kissing Harper on the lips - captioning the post: "The best daddy".

Unfortunately, the fact that David, 45, was kissing his own daughter on the lips caused a backlash from some of Victoria's followers.
"Adore your family, but never understood those parents' kisses on the lips. Still the best family," one Instagram user wrote.
Another simply typed: "Don't kiss baby on lips," followed by several thumbs down emojis.
And a third wrote: "Please stop kissing kids on the lips!!!!"
The images were later shared by UK publisher OK! Magazine, who asked its Twitter followers: "What do you think about kissing kids on the lips?"
Fortunately, many of Beckham's fans rallied behind him and saw nothing wrong with a father kissing his daughter on the lips.
Journalist Niall Paterson responded to the story, writing: "Not the type of story I usually comment on, but I'm getting scunnered on David Beckham's behalf - stop shaming fathers for being affectionate with their kids."

And Outlander actor Steven Cree tweeted out in support of Beckham, writing: "I think it’s severely f***ed up that you are even posing this as a question.
"The fact that David Beckham was pilloried for this is a disgrace. If you think it’s wrong he kissed his beloved 9 year old daughter on the lips I would I suggest you have serious problems."

Another Twitter user blasted Beckham's critics, writing: "What the crap is wrong with people having an issue with David Beckham kissing his daughter on the lips....!
"It's the innocence of being a parent... I think it says more about the people uncomfortable about this than it does about the action of a devoted father!!"

On Tuesday (November 4), the 50-year-old former soccer star was honored for his outstanding contributions to both sport and years of philanthropic work.

As the wife of a newly knighted man, the 51-year-old Spice Girl automatically receives the courtesy title of "Lady", a distinction that is optional for her to use.
According to reports from The Mirror, the 'Spice Up Your Life' musician has decided to embrace the title, making her Lady Beckham, although her social media name remains unchanged for now.
However, her heartfelt message following the ceremony on Instagram made it clear just how proud she is of her husband’s achievements.
Sharing a series of pictures from the ceremony, the mom-of-four expressed that she had “never felt prouder” of her husband of 26 years.
"Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honoured by The King today is something I’ll forever cherish," she penned. "You’ve achieved so much, and yet you’re still the same kind, humble, hardworking man I met nearly 30 years ago, as well as the most amazing husband and father."
"I’ve never felt prouder than I do today. Sir @davidbeckham, we all love you so much xxx" she added.
The former Manchester United star also shared a post celebrating his knighthood and expressed gratitude to the monarchy for acknowledging his humanitarian work.
"I can't even begin to describe what a special day it is for me today, a boy born in East London, to receive a Knighthood from His Majesty The King. I am truly humbled and so grateful for this honour," he wrote.
"I have been fortunate to represent our country and I've always done that with pride... I love our Royal Family and what it means to people, not just in Great Britain but around the world. I could never have dreamed that this would happen to me," he continued. "Football gave me everything, and it also allowed me to travel from a young age. Travel opened my eyes to issues facing children around the world."
He thanked his parents and grandparents for "instilling the right values of hard work and respect," his wife, "who has been by [his] side for the last 28 years," and his "beautiful children," who are his "greatest joy in life".

Many of Beckham's famous friends and family took to social media to celebrate his special accomplishment.
Hannah Waddingham commented on a post, saying: “This is MMMMMMMAGIC @davidbeckham beaming over here watching from afar. Congratulations.” Mo Farah added: “Proud of you as always, mate!”
Meanwhile, Romeo Beckham, David and Victoria’s second-oldest son, posted a set of family photos from the event with the caption: “No one deserves this more than you, love you so much xxx. Congrats Sir dad. @davidbeckham.”
Interestingly, Brooklyn, David’s eldest son, was absent from the ceremony, with reports suggesting ongoing tension within the family.

In a brief interview at Windsor Castle, David revealed that the King was impressed by his suit for the occasion.
“He was quite impressed with my suit. He’s kind of the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years, and he definitely inspired this look," he said, per Metro.
David wore a three-piece custom morning suit, the first-ever menswear design by Victoria Beckham. The suit was made from a British wool mohair blend in a deep charcoal grey, with a sharply tailored lapel, creating a refined and sophisticated look for the event.
Victoria, for her part, wore a custom version of her brand’s signature Bela dress in a rich navy hue with an elongated asymmetric hem.
Victoria Beckham set the internet abuzz with a gym selfie on Instagram that appeared to capture a partially nude David Beckham in the background.
The 49-year-old fashion mogul and former Spice Girl posted a series of workout snapshots displaying her figure in black athleisure attire. She was seen flaunting her toned abs while informing her followers about her ongoing "strength training phase."
"I follow with my training session which I vary day-to-day to focus on different areas of the body," Victoria wrote in the post. "Today I'm working on my upper body strength with a combination of resistance-based exercises."
The 'Wannabe' singer's enviable fitness regime certainly left an impression, yet fans seemed more intrigued by her husband's partial appearance in the image.
The 48-year-old soccer icon was caught in the reflection of the mirror, revealing his chiseled torso. As only the upper half of his body was visible, many fans amusingly speculated about his potential lack of attire below the waist.
Victoria herself joined the banter, highlighting David's presence in the background with a playful arrow and laughing emojis.
Fans were quick to chime in with their humorous observations. One fan wrote: "Well we all [know] what's got her motivated in that gym," while another added: "To be honest if I 'worked out' with David Beckham I would 'insist' on no clothes."
Even the slightly bewildered comment, "That's creepy whys he's standing there with no clothes, but I wouldn't complain if I was there," couldn't suppress the general amusement.
The Beckhams, despite living only 15 minutes apart in London, didn't cross paths until 1997. At the time, Victoria was globally recognized as Posh Spice from the Spice Girls, while David was taking the soccer world by storm at Manchester United.
They began dating and exchanged vows two years later. Today, they share four children: Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 20, Cruz, 18, and Harper Seven, 12.
On April 16, Victoria celebrated her 49th birthday surrounded by her loving family. David shared a heartfelt birthday message on his Instagram, posting a sweet photo of the two.
"Happy Birthday to the most amazing wife and mummy x someone who inspires us every single day. We love you and you deserve to have the most perfect day. Happy Birthday," he wrote.
Their son, Romeo, also commemorated his mother's special day with a loving Instagram post featuring a cozy picture of the pair.
