Victoria Beckham has received a lot of backlash after her muted reaction to England's historic victory over Norway in the World Cup quarter-finals on Saturday (July 11).
Posh Spice could be seen sitting with her husband, David, who is a former England captain himself, and their family.
This included children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 15, with the continued absence of Brooklyn from family functions.
The Beckhams sat in their private VIP box at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, where they watched the Three Lions emerge victorious over Erling Haaland's Norway in a 2-1 win, after extra time.
Jude Bellingham bagged both goals, with the second coming as the winner in the third minute of extra time, where David, aka Golden Balls, could be seen going ballistic.
While David and his sons could be seen with fists in the air at another magic moment from the Real Madrid and England midfielder, Victoria appeared less than impressed.
The result booked England a spot in the semi-finals for just the fourth time in World Cup history, but the former Spice Girl held a stern look on her face as England's second goal flew in.
Her reaction soon went viral, with many taking aim at the fashion designer and her perceived lack of patriotism, but her husband was quick to come to her defense.
American comedian Jenny Johnson made some sarcastic comments about Victoria's reaction, writing: "I wanted to take a moment to single out @england’s number one fan Victoria, Lady Beckham!!!!
"There’s nothing like cheering your heart out for England from home, then they cut to Victoria, and we see that classic Posh Spice smile!"
She joked that it was "infectious," and that "Victoria blows my enthusiasm out of the water," concluding: "Each time I see her I shout, 'SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!!!!' because her energy is electric!!! See for yourself!"
David spotted the post, and while he remained playful, he defended his wife of 27 years in a comment.
"She was celebrating inside I promise [laughing emoji]. Her reactions were slightly slower than mine @jennyjohnsonhi5," he penned.
It's fair to say that England fans weren't best pleased, as one joked: "People are often critical of Victoria Beckham but to see this outpouring of emotion here from her as England scores a goal shows her deep connection with both football and the team," with a snap of their reactions.
Another posted: "That priceless moment when you can tell how much Posh Spice loves football," with laughing emojis.
A third pointed out the time "England turned on Beckham," when Three Lions fans hung effigies of the player from lampposts after the winger was sent off in a 1998 round-of-16 tie against Argentina, which England lost on penalties.
The media also branded him "one stupid boy," as crowds around the country booed him for over a year - so maybe the lack of enthusiasm could be understood.
But footage from later on showed that she did stand up to applaud the goal, seconds after David jumped out of his seat.
Others defended Posh Spice, as one user penned: "Well she didn't earn the name Posh Spice just to start screaming and jumping around like a football hooligan."
Another agreed: "Can’t blame her, she probably still hates the fans from when they chanted about her."
A different user wrote: "Love her even more for this. She is who she is."
