David Letterman's interviews with young female celebrities have not aged well at all. Now the former late-night host is being slammed for his treatment of Paris Hilton on his talk show.

This particular interview with Paris on The Late Show with David Letterman aired back in 2007. In it, Letterman persistently quizzes the Hilton hotel heiress on her stint in jail, despite Hilton asking him not to.

She was imprisoned in 2007 for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

But despite it quite evidently being a tough topic, Letterman jokes about her jail time at her expense, asking right off the bat: "How did you like being in jail?"

He then proceeds to ask the socialite - while chuckling to himself - what she has learned about the experience. In response, Hilton tells the host that it was "obviously a very traumatic experience".

"But I did it. I feel like I can do anything now," she adds.

Letterman then questions her about the prison food, to which Hilton replies: "It's not supposed to be good. It's jail." She also explained that she always ate alone.

Letterman then bizarrely asks the reality TV star what exactly she was convicted for and whether she herself knew what it was.

When he continues to press on with the intrusive questions about the traumatic experience, she cuts him off saying: "I've moved on with my life, so I don't really want to talk about it anymore."

Refusing to change the subject, however, Letterman tells his guest that it's all he wants to talk about and hounds her further.

"I'm not answering any more questions about it. I'm here for my clothing line and my movie and my perfume - I'm not here to talk about that," she asserts.

Letterman consistently roasts Hilton to the point where she admits that he's making her "sad" and "hurting [her] feelings".

People had plenty to say about the resurfaced clip - specifically about Letterman's inappropriate behavior - on Twitter.

One person said: "Since the #framingbritney doc came out, a number of videos have circulated of women being harassed in public or on national TV by men that we let get away with & caused life problems for these women.

"Here is Paris Hilton on David Letterman’s talk show to promote her perfume."

Another said: "Yeah David letterman was famously not very good with women there’s another clip where he makes Paris Hilton cry because he keeps asking about her arrest."

This comes after past interviews Letterman did with Jennifer Aniston and Lindsay Lohan went viral last week due to his "inappropriate" behavior.

In his 1998 interview with the Friends star, Letterman bizarrely places his hand around Aniston's neck and sucks on her hair without consent.

And in his 2013 interview with Lindsay Lohan, he continuously quizzes the former child star about her struggle with drug addiction.

Lohan even takes the opportunity to point out to the audience and viewers that it wasn't mentioned in the pre-interview that they would be discussing the subject.
