If you've ever been on a plane, you'll know you're at the mercy of those around you to behave accordingly.
But it turns out that even celebs run into issues, just like Michelle Williams did.
The Destiny’s Child star was flying back to New York City after attending a funeral in Illinois when something unexpected crept into her personal space: a stranger’s bare foot. And Michelle did not hold back.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the 45-year-old singer and Broadway performer posted a photo of the offending foot edging into view beside her plush seat.
“I PROMISE YOU BETTA GETCHO FOOT FROM ME!!!!,” she wrote, captioning the now-viral snap. “Y’all this is happening neowwwwwwww on my flight and I am crying real tears!!”

If you’re wondering whether this happened in economy - think again.
Williams clarified in the comments: “For those asking… YES I am sitting in the first class cabin. A lot of AUDACITY resides in that booking class… OBVIOUSLY!! #seat3F the f is for feet.”
Naturally, she had to soundtrack the moment.
“Cue the song ‘nasty work’ by @yahyahanddomo_,” she added with a laugh.
In a follow-up video shared after landing, the 'Death Becomes Her' star belted out: “I made it out. I made it out alright,” before dishing the details to her followers.
“Baby,” she began, “I made it and I made it home. Y’all I was almost defeated by someone’s feet… It tried to take me out.”
Williams said she spotted the foot out of the corner of her eye and was stunned when she realized what it was. But after the initial shock wore off, she gave the guy some credit.
Turns out, his foot was “not that bad,” she admitted, even calling it “conditioned” and “moisturized”. And in an unexpected twist, she said: “He was friendly though. And he actually helped take my bag off the overhead bin, and I said, ‘Thank you.’”
Despite the bizarre in-flight encounter, Williams came out of it with her sense of humor intact. She joked she had to shower just to shake the whole experience off.
“I lived to tell the story,” she declared. “All is well, I made it back to New York City.”
